“It was overwhelming!
"It’s very refreshing kasi a lot of people love Zia, and a lot of artists actually come up to me and say, ‘Your daughter is really fantastic, we love her voice.’
“It’s refreshing to hear her voice, she’s a contra-alto, it’s very rare especially in the Philippines where we are overloaded with sopranos and belters, and we hear this girl with a different voice, with something new to offer.”
COMPARING HER DAUGHTERS.
Paliwang ni Zia, “It’s just that, you know, we’re very different—we have different voices, I guess.
“My influences are more mas rock, RnB, and soul, and jazz
“They are more of mga pop, ’yong mga birit na kanta, which is a different interpretation.”

Sinabi ng Divine Diva sa panayam sa kanya ng PEP: “I don’t know why people do that because they are coasts apart.
“I mean, compare me and Karylle, yes, because we sound alike, right?
“But silang magkapatid shouldn’t be, and we’re not in competition with anyone.
“You know, we’re all… but people are like that, I guess—they just want to compare.”
“They are sisters, come on!” natatawang sabi niya.
“If people kunwari would tell me, ‘Your daughters are really good singers, they are shinning, ganyan,’ be happy, I’m their mother.
“In the same light, if people tell Zia, ‘Zia, I love your sister,’ she will be happy for her sister.
“Kanya-kanyang taste, e, kanya-kanyang gusto, di ba?”
ON DOLPHY.
Pero ayon kay Zsa Zsa, “Right now, he’s good naman... right now.
“Kasi they don’t see him anymore.
“Actually, it’s up to us if we want to, you know… It’s just that he can’t be around people ’coz he’s compromised.
“He easily catches a cold or cough, and for his age, it’s really dangerous because he has the tendency to get pneumonia.
“It’s hard because, you know, he battled with pneumonia so many times the past few years that, you know, it’s hard.
“’Coz a lot of times, he’s okay in the hospital, then something happens, you know, he’s not so good.
“We’re just happy that right now he’s in a good place.”
PRAYERS.
“I pray a lot,” nangingiting sabi ng singer-actress.
“I go down on my knees and pray.
“A lot of phases are tough, and I have to admit there are some problems about money—not only my family but other people that’s an extension of our family.
“So, there are things that need to be ironed out.
“Marami, maraming problema na kasama and you’re going in the hospital sometimes.
“It’s tough talaga.
"Kaya that’s why I cried when I said goodbye with my Budoy family.
"I said, ‘I will miss you guys.’ Kasi you don’t know, they have been really good with me.
“Of course, I always come back to my girls. And as long as they are there for me, I’m alright.”
