Albert Martinez on Amalia Fuentes and Annabelle Rama tiff: "Di ko na siya talaga na-monitor. Is it still going on?"

Albert Martinez plays a father and a king in the upcoming ABS-CBN soap, Princess and I, which was shot in Bhutan.

“Suprisingly, wala akong alam. I was so busy doing Princess and I [because] we were taping every single day.
"Nabalitaan ko na lang ‘yan through another friend, okay, what’s going on? Yun lang.
"Di ko na siya talaga na-monitor. Is it still going on?" tanong ni Albert.
“I feel bad, not necessarily [because she’s] my mother-in-law, I feel bad na within the industry magkakagulo-gulo tayo.
"Parang it’s a small family, it’s a small industry, if there’s any problem siguro, just deal with it privately, not through social networking [sites].
RECONCILIATION?
"Dun di tutulak ‘yan, magkakabati rin ‘yan and hopefully, nobody gets hurt in the process.”
"Well, everybody goes through some kind of depression when you’ve lost your loved one.
"Honestly, there’s nothing I can do na to change anything or to console. The only thing we can do is pray,” sabi ni Albert.
DEALING WITH CANCER.
“She’s doing very well. We’re happy enjoying every single moment of her life.
"We’re taking everything on a day-to-day basis."
“I feel blessed to be part of it. [I’m] very, very happy to accept the project.
"If I’m not mistaken, I believe this is the very first project that’s meant for international release from day one," sabi ni Albert.
“Iba ito, it’s very challenging. Number one, I don’t speak Tagalog, I speak a local language, Songka.
"So it’s a huge challenge to understand the language, to understand the emotions within the language.
"’Tapos, of course, how to be royal and how to control your emotions. Kasi [ang role ko dito] king—di puwede yung outburst of emotions. You have to watch, control all the time.
“It’s hard to compare, there’s no single soap I have made [in the past] that I can compare to this one."
PRAISE FOR YOUNG CAST.
“I’m really, really amazed with the young actors kasi lahat sila focused. Lahat sila, they love their craft.
"You see them na ibang klaseng artista, they are not being forced to work. They love what they do, they love to work.
“Well, I’m very happy to be the father of all, ganun ang role ko dito.
"I took care of Enrique when we were in Bhutan, I took care of Kathryn. Parang I’ve just been with my kids."
