PEP EXCLUSIVE: Cong. Lucy Torres-Gomez files bill to investigate the lack of CCTV cameras in local airports

Lucy Torres-Gomez thinks the airport incident between Raymart Santiago and Mon Tulfo is a “learning experience for all the agencies, and all the people involved, [and] all the sectors.”

“I just find it strange that we’re supposed to have CCTV cameras and if we have, it’s not working,” paliwanag ni Lucy kung bakit niya ipinasa ang naturang bill sa kongreso.

“Kasi having CCTV cameras that are not working, parang it defeats its purpose of being there, di ba?

“Especially if it’s in the place as important as the airport, where the security is very important, and the CCTV camera is very imperative in ensuring the security of the people.

“So, I just found it really strange.

“Sabi ko nga, this is not about the brawl that happened. That’s just one of the many incidents that had happened in the airport.

“But, it has brought to surface the really bigger problem.

“There are real terrorist threats all over the world. Parang after naman 9/11 [attack], lahat naman tayo, we’re more aware of the terrorist threats for a very progressive country.

“It’s a basic thing na we should have a CCTV camera that actually works.”

“I really don’t want to ano... I really don’t want to comment on that,” nakangiting pagtanggi ng TV host turned politician.

“I always feel that there are two sides of the story, and uhm... the issue has been stretched and exhausted in every way possible.

“I think we can all benefit talaga… I mean something good can really come out talaga from a really bad situation.

“If it has brought to life the fact na airlines need to be more efficient with their service, so be it, di ba?

“Parang let this be a learning experience for all the agencies, and all the people involved, [and] all the sectors.”

DAWN-RICHARD FAN.

“I’m very happy for Walang Hanggan and the success of the entire team,” sabi ng congresswoman.

“I’ve always been a Dawn and Richard fan, and it’s nice to see na after all these years, nandiyan pa rin ‘yong magic nila, e.

“’Yong chemistry kasi is something you can’t fake. It’s either there or not there.

“Siguro it helps a lot na they both still look very good, and they’re both very fit, and together they have the magic—it’s still there and that’s important in every story.

“Especially if it’s the love story that’s you’re trying to sell.”

NO SHOWBIZ.

“I do hosting once in a while, like guestings, but wala pa muna talagang regular show.

“I have to consider my time.

“You know, I have my work in Congress, and then I have a family also.
