Solenn Heussaff on her first Urian nomination: “I’m not expecting to win because ang gagaling ng mga kalaban ko in that category."

“I really gave my best in the movie because I was acting with great actors there. But I never thought it deserved a nomination," says Solenn Heussaff when asked about her Urian nomination for the movie Yesterday, Today Tomorrow.

“It will be my first time to get into hosting. I want to improve on that.

“I’ve tried hosting mga events but different ang mag-host ka on television.

“Lalo na for a show like Eat Bulaga! that is watched by millions of people in the country.

“Hopefully, I will do well.

“I’m learning new Tagalog words every day naman.

“If there’s a Tagalog word that’s new to me, I would ask what it is and I would remember that and use it if appropriate.

“Siyempre, I will do hosting for Eat Bulaga!. Masa yung show so I have to fit in and learn how to talk with them.

“They find it amusing kasi si Daiana Menezes daw gano’n when she started in Eat Bulaga!.

“But look at her now, ang galing-galing na niyang mag-Tagalog.

“If she can do it, then I can do it also,” sabi niya.

FUNNY SIDE. Tapos na nga ang shooting nila for Boy Pick-Up: The Movie at tuwang-tuwa si Solenn dahil wild daw ang big scene na kinunan nila kunsaan ang buong cast ay nandoon.

“Everyone except for Michael V because he’s still in the U.S. but they already shot his scenes before he left.

“It’s a big showdown scene between Boy Pick-Up and the other guys who are also good sa mga pick-up lines nila.

“I really enjoyed doing this movie and how I wish that I can work again with these guys.

"It’s fun pala to do something crazy once in a while!” natatawang sabi ni Solenn.

Aniya, “I did a pole dancing skit and I also did a music video with Moymoy Palaboy. It was fun and I miss doing that.

“How I wish that I can be in a show like Bubble Gang para hindi puro drama ang gawin ko.

“I can be crazy rin sometimes kasi I want people to see a different but fun side of me naman.”

LOVING SHOWBIZ ALREADY.

“I’m very hesitant at first talaga. I was not decided if I would make this a full-time career. I was just trying it all out.

“But after meeting many good people and getting great projects, it’s all worth it. I’m loving it more now than before.

“Especially when people, most of them you don’t even know, congratulate you for what they saw you did on TV and the movies.

EARLY RECOGNITIONS.

Ikalawa ay ang award for Most Promising Female Star of the Year award niya sa 43rdBox Office Entertainment Awards ng Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

Pero ayon kay Solenn, “I was really shocked to receive that nomination.

"I searched the Urian in the internet because I’m not really familiar with it.

“I later found out that it’s one of the most credible and prestigious award-giving bodies in the Philippines.

“I couldn’t believe it kasi third movie ko pa lang yun and then this nomination came.

“I really gave my best in the movie because I was acting with great actors there. But I never thought it deserved a nomination.

“I’m not expecting to win because ang gagaling ng mga kalaban ko in that category.

“Being nominated is more than enough for me. I feel like a winner already,” pagtatapos ni Solenn.
