Film companies submit entries for Metro Manila Film Festival 2012

Between 13-16 entries were submitted to the MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority), organizer of the yearly MMFFP (Metro Manila Film Festival Philippines). However, only eight slots are available for MMFFP 2012. The official entries will be announced by the screening committee on June 18 in Quezon City.

FILM ENTRIES SUBMITTED. Octo Arts Films (possibly with M-Zet and Imus Productions) – Si Agimat, Si Enteng And Me (Bong Revilla, Vic Sotto, Judy Ann Santos), directed by Tony Reyes.
Star Cinema – One More Try (Dingdong Dantes, Angelica Panganiban, and Angel Locsin), directed by Ruel Bayani. Bagamat sa film bookers’ list na may kopya ang reporter na ito, November 14 ang “target” playdate ng pelikula, at In Love We Trust pa ang unang title nito.
Star Cinema (possibly with Cine Media) – untitled movie project (Kris Aquino, Vice Ganda).
Isang twinbill movie – Pedrong Walang Takot (Ryan Agoncillo, Rufa Mae Quinto, Paolo Contis) directed by Mark Meily; and Mariang Alimango (Empress, Sam Concepcion, and Zsa Zsa Padilla), directed by Chris Martinez.
Regal Entertainment – Shake Rattle and Roll 14 (a trilogy starring Dennis Trillo, Vhong Navarro, and Lovi Poe).
Centerstage Productions and Solar Films – Sa ‘Yong Sinapupunan [Thy Womb] (Nora Aunor, Bembol Roco, Mercedes Cabral, and Lovi Poe), directed by Brillante Mendoza.
GMA Films – Coño Problems (Aljur Abrenica, Bianca King, Solenn Heussaff, Mikael Daez, and Isabelle Daza)
Scenema Concept – El Presidente (George Estregan, Jr., Nora Aunor), directed by Mark Meily; and Ben Tumbling (Jericho Estregan, anak ni Laguna Governor ER Ejercito), directed by Joven Tan.
Quantum Films – The Strangers (Julia Montes, Enrique Gil, Enchong Dee, Jaime Fabregas, and Cherry Pie Picache), directed by Lawrence Fajardo; and Tuhog (Eugene Domingo, Jake Cuenca, Robert Arevalo, and Enchong Dee), directed by Veronica Velasco.

Deus Lux Mea Films – My Prince Charming (Iza Calzado and Mauro Mauer) and Death March (Cesar Montano, Zanjoe Marrudo, Jason Abalos).

Simula last year, si Jesse Ejercito na ang MMFFP executive chairman, samantalang si Mr. Francis Tolentino naman ang MMDA chairman.
NORA IN TWO ENTRIES.
Ayon kay Direk Mark, the same mechanics, rules and regulations apply to the New Wave section, pero magmi-meeting pa ang committee in charge dito.
