Former QC councilor Dingdong Avanzado says politics is furthest from his mind; reaches out to younger generation through music

Dingdong Avanzado on reaching out to the younger generation: "I want to introduce my music to the next generation. So, if you can make your music mas malawak, mas a-appreciate ng lahat, all the more better, di ba?"

"You know, I established myself 25 years ago, pero like I said, ang dami ko pang gustong i-share.

"And ang feeling ko, I want to introduce my music to the next generation.

"So, if you can make your music mas malawak, mas a-appreciate ng lahat, all the more better, di ba?" pahayag niya.

"Download kasi, for several reasons, ano.

"There’s a new platform emerging because of the Internet, and we should all be conscious of that," saad niya.

"Si Ms. Sharon Cuneta is there also. Of course, my wife Jessa [Zaragoza]. Si Ms. Rachel Alejandro is also there.

"My daughter—it’s her first recording—she’s part of it.

"’Tapos nag-record din ako with artists who are part of this generation, like Juris.

"I requested for them. Pumayag sila, and I’m so happy kasi yung mga ni-record namin, maganda ang kinalabasan."

POLITICS.

"Alam ko malapit na ang eleksiyon next year, pero it’s furthest from my mind right now," sagot ni Dingdong.

"Politics will always be there, nasa dugo mo ’yan, e, maaalis mo ba ’yan?"

"When I got married, at the back of my mind, talagang you know... I was really going to focus, I wanted to watch my daughter grow up.

"So in a way, I was out of politics and at the same time, yung music career ko, hindi naman sa it took a bad dip kasi naka-establish na tayo ng pangalan.

"But now that my daughter is grown up, and I feel that I have so much more music to share, God has blessed me with the opportunity na ipakita sa bagong generation ang music ni Dingdong Avanzado," sabi niya.

"Well, why not, ano? As long as I believe in the person, sa kakayahan niya, bakit hindi?

"You know, I know stand for something, and ’pag yung tao na yun stands for the same thing I do, bakit hindi ko naman i-e-endorse?" pahayag ni Dingdong.
