The Mayans predicted that the world would end in 2012. The date may be a play with the numbers 12-21-12. It could be about global warming and the floods it has caused. Or maybe it’s like 2012 (2009), the Ronald Emmerich-directed disaster film, in live action.
Whatever happens, we asked Paulo Avelino, Solenn Heussaff, Kean Cipriano and Eula Caballero—
If the world ends in 2012, where would you be, what would you be wearing, and what’s the last thing you would do?
Where would you want to be?
Paulo Avelino: If the world would end in 2012, I would love to spend siguro the last few hours of my life with my family, with everyone I love.
Solenn Heussaff: With my family and on the beach.
Kean Cipriano: Home.
Eula Caballero: I wanna be at home in Cebu where I grew up.
’Cause I grew up in the southern part of Cebu, in a place called Bolho-on, and I spent 12 years there.
And I’ve had a lot of memories there, so I want to be there. I wanna be with my family, with my dad.
’Cause my dad works abroad, so I just wanna be with him. If that happens, I just wanna be with my family, with my nephew, ‘cause I love my nephew so much.
Yeah, I just wanna be with them and enjoy the last day of the world with them.
Because, you know, hindi naman talaga natin masasabi if it’s true.
But if it happens, kung may mga tao man akong gustong makasama, pamilya ko lang talaga.
What would you be wearing?
Paulo Avelino: Nothing. Hahah! No, I’m just kidding. The most comfortable clothes I could wear.
Solenn Heussaff: Pajama lang, pambahay. Gusto ko, comfortable.
Kean Cipriano: Nothing. Maybe I’ll wear a white cloth. I’ll be like Gandhi. All for peace and love.
Eula Caballero: I would wear─ this is something I don’t wear anymore now since I got into showbiz.
So I would wear super loose jeans because that’s what I would use to wear back in Cebu.
People would call me, ‘Hey, are you gay?’ Because I just really dress up that way, and really loose tops.
So I’d just go back to the Eula before I got into showbiz.
What’s the last thing you would do?
Paulo Avelino: Ako, I would want to, first go to church, ask for forgiveness, again.
Yun lang, yun lang. Siguro I’d go to church, ask for forgiveness, pray and siguro for the last few hours, spend it with my family.
Solenn Heussaff: I’d like to kiss.
Kean Cipriano: I would try to stop the world from ending. That’s the last thing I would do.
Eula Caballero: I wanna drink with my dad. Kasi he never allowed me to drink, never.
I mean my mom would understand as long as controlled, moderate lang.
Pero my dad, never, no alcohol talaga.
So, kung mag-eend man talaga ang mundo, then maybe I’d want to share a glass of wine with my dad.
