Chris Brown investigated after fight with Frank Ocean

The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed Chris Brown (in photo) is being investigated on suspicion of assault following his brawl with Frank Ocean.

Chris Brown is being investigated by police after an alleged fight with Frank Ocean last January 27.

A statement from the Los Angeles Police Department stated: "West Hollywood Station deputies are investigating allegations that Chris Brown assaulted an unnamed victim. Deputies responded to a call of six males fighting at the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood.

"Upon their arrival, deputies talked to witnesses who stated that Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space. The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim.

"After a brief fight, the parties were separated. Chris Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the arrival of deputies. The investigation is on-going and investigators will contact Chris Brown at a later time."

Meanwhile, Chris posted a picture of Jesus on the cross along with the caption "Painting the way I feel today," on his Instagram account, after it was revealed police want to question him in connection with a fight he had with Frank.

The "Turn Up The Music" hitmaker is said to have got into a brawl with Frank after the singer blocked his car from leaving Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles, where he was meeting with one of the artists he represents.

TMZ reports that authorities are referring to Frank, 25, as "the victim" as he stayed to talk to officers after Chris fled the scene immediately afterwards.

Sources say that Frank told Chris, who is still on probation for assaulting his on/off girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, "This is my studio, this is my parking spot," which prompted Chris to offer a handshake.

However, one of Frank’s associates is then said to have attacked him, which led to one of Chris’ friends hitting him in retaliation and the two singers then began fighting.

Frank took to Twitter shortly after to say he was "jumped" by Chris and claims his hand injury may affect his live performance at the Grammy Awards next month.

The "Pyramids" singer wrote: "Got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there.

"Cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys."

A photo which appears to have been taken in the studio before the incident, which shows Chris posing with his friends, was then uploaded onto the singer’s Instagram account after the brawl.

In July 2012, Chris denied being homophobic about Frank—who came out as gay in a blog post last year—when asked his opinion about him.
