Gary Valenciano gets emotional about Paolo’s wedding and Gab’s plan to continue his studies

“It’s just difficult kasi between Paulo and Gab, when Paulo gets married he’s in the Philippines. When Gab leaves, I really, really think that he’ll end up staying in the States,” says Gary Valenciano on letting go of his two sons.

“If I may share, nandoon kami kanina sa venue, we were practicing the timing kanina, kasi I’ll be the one handling the music, e.

“I’m saying, ‘Oh my, Gary, lakasan mo ang loob mo kasi medyo iba ito.’

“This is not a performance, e. This is a show of my love for my son, my first born.

“I’m very, very proud of him and I’m pouring everything out for him.”

Dagdag na paglalarawan pa niya, “The wedding is gonna be like a movie, I have my keyboard and I’ll score it live.

“So, in the exchange of vows or whatever, if I feel that there’s a need of music, I’ll play.”

Aniya, “I was excited for him. You know, si Paolo, planner ‘yan, e.

“Three years or four years ago, sinabi na niya sa akin, ‘Dad, I’m thinking siya na.’

“I said, ‘Are you ready?’ Sabi niya, ‘No, no, I have to prepare for it.’”

Sabi ni Gary, “I pray that it’s gonna be a wedding that encourages the people in showbiz na nagdududa dahil sa dami ng showbiz couples that break apart.

“I hope this is one that encourages them to go ahead and make that step.”

GAB ALSO LEAVING.

Katuwiran niya, “It’s just difficult, kasi between Paolo and Gab, when Paolo gets married he’s in the Philippines.

“When Gab leaves, I really, really think that he’ll end up staying in the States.

“He’s already met people there. He’s already met people I know.”

“I never stopped him,” ani Gary.

“The only reason he couldn’t go was he had to earn, so, he has to stay here and he had to make up his mind kung yun talaga ang gusto niyang gawin.

“Right now, even as I speak, he’s on a hybrid course.

“He takes some courses online, so, yung mga projects niya include mixing music.

"His instructors have been e-mailing him, ‘We’re listening to your products and we think you have a place.’ And he said, ‘Okay, Dad, here we go.’”

Naisip niya kasi, “Sometimes blessings are difficult when you know that you’ve done well with your children but they have to go.

“It’s the thought na hindi lang sila aalis ng bahay, but we’re really opening our hands and say, ‘Okay, fly now. Fly over the bright skies now.’”

“I think they’ve already been talking about it,” sagot ni Gary.

“I talked to Coleen and asked her, ‘How is Gab?’

“She said, he’s a little, not torn, pero parang nararamdaman na niya na he’s about to leave.

“He’s never been away kasi from our family.

“Every time he needs us, we’re there.

“But he’s gonna be in Florida, very near my mom’s house and the rest of my family who are there.”
