Angelica Panganiban casts off intrigue that boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz is seeing another girl: “Hindi ko siya kilalang ganun.”

Angelica Panganiban is tired of the tirade of intrigues being flung at her and boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz. The Apoy sa Dagat actress tells entertainment reporters off on Tuesday night, February 19, at the Banana Nite press conference: “Nakakalungkot lang na pag masaya talaga yung dalawang tao, hahanapan mo na lang ng gulo. It’s either ikakasal kayo o pahiwalay na kayo. Dalawa lang naman yung tatanungin, e. So pag dinenay [deny

Angelica Panganiban is certain that her seven-month relationship with boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz is going smoothly.

“Mas kumportable na kami ngayon sa isa’t isa, mas nakakasanayan na namin [ang isa’t isa],” the actress told entertainment reporters on Tuesday night, February 19, at the press conference of gag show Banana Split held at Seafood Island restaurant along Mother Ignacia Avenue, Quezon City.

Angelica, 26, said that the changes about her since John Lloyd entered her life do not include being a “good girl” now or being more “conservative” in terms of dressing up.

If there is anything that has changed in her now, it is that Angelica knows better.

DATING ANOTHER GIRL? As intrigues about her previous breakup with hunk actor Derek Ramsay are slowly dying down, Angelica faces new ones regarding her current romance with John Lloyd.

In the past couple of weeks, John Lloyd has been rumored to be dating another girl.

With a calm expression but a stern look, Angelica commented on the matter:

So, parang lahat ’ata ng intriga ginagawa niya.

“Sobra akong confident sa relationship namin. Hindi ko kailangan magpaliwanag sa mga tao.”

She has said before and she said it again, “Sobra akong assured, sobra akong confident, sobra akong secure…”

Angelica believes that she does not need to clarify such an intrigue with her boyfriend.

TIME WITH EACH OTHER. A second issue, this time concerning John Lloyd finding no spare time to spend with her because of work, was flung at Angelica.

To this, the actress retorted, “Ako nga yung walang time sa kanya, e!”

Expressing her frustration about the tirade of intrigues, Angelica went on, “Alam ninyo kasi siguro, pag sobrang ayos ng relationship, nagiging boring sa paningin ng mga tao, di ba?

“It’s either ikakasal kayo o pahiwalay na kayo. Dalawa lang naman yung tatanungin, e.

"So pag dinenay [deny] mong ikakasal kayo, ibig sabihin, susunod na tanong sa iyo, nagkakalabuan kayo.”

NORMAL COUPLE, BEST FRIENDS. In a portion of the interview, Angelica mentioned that she and John Lloyd are as normal as any couple could get.

Wala namang gano’n.”

Asked if they both set rules and parameters, defined deal-breakers and such to secure their relationship, the actress rejected the notion: “Wala. Para kaming ano, e, sobra kaming… para kaming best friends.

“Hindi ‘parang.’ Best friends kami.”

She further quipped, “Para kaming partners sa lahat ng bagay. And yun yung maganda siguro sa aming dalawa.

“Wala kaming dapat itago sa isa’t isa. Lahat puwede naming pag-usapan.

"Kaya sa lahat ng nagsasabing parang wala na kami or parang nagkakagulo kami, or meron siyang babae, or may iba akong lalaki, sabihin na lahat ng gusto nilang sabihin kasi I don’t think masisira kami ng intriga.

“Masyadong matibay yung samahan naming dalawa para sirain ng isa,” she assured not herself, but the members of the press she was talking to.

FAN OF JOHN LLOYD-SARAH LOVETEAM. On a lighter note, Angelica is supportive of and pleased about the third installment of the John Lloyd Cruz-Sarah Geronimo tandem.

Titled It Takes A Man and A Woman, the romantic-comedy comes after blockbuster films A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life.

Ayaw ikuwento sa akin!” the actress said, suddenly in fan mode.

She raved, “Sobrang grabe yung magic, grabe yung magic nilang dalawa! Nakakaaliw sila.

Miggy and Laida are John Lloyd’s and Sarah’s respective characters in the said Star Cinema-produced saga.

Angelica, when inquired about feeling any jealousy towards her boyfriend’s leading lady considering the success of the tandem, replied, “Alam mo, lagi ko ngang sinasabi… kasi hindi ko talagang makuhang kumbaga tingnan ng iba si Sarah.

Will she and John Lloyd star in their own romantic flick soon?

Angelica told that Star Cinema is in fact pushing the idea but to no avail.

The actress pointed out that she and John Lloyd foresee the project as problematic as it might interfere with their acting.
