Holy Week plans of your favorite stars

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked your favorite stars their plans for the Holy week.

Holy week is often celebrated by praying, doing Visita Iglesia, alay lakad, pabasa and the like, but some of our celebrities find this a perfect time to relax, unwind and rest from their busy schedules.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked some celebrities about their plans this Holy week.

Kapuso star Heart Evangelista said that the coming Holy week is the perfect time to de-stress after taping her afternoon primetime drama series, Forever.

At first, the actress said, “Uhm, no. I don’t have plans for Holy Week.”

But she clarified, “I think I just want to relax, probably. By that time siguro, my soap just ended taping. So parang, I think I’m gonna be fit, you know. ’Cause I’ve been working out lately.

“So I think I wanna do major workout and self-improvement.”

What is your workout routine?

“I do cardio 45 minutes every morning before work. Running, brisk walking, jogging, a mixture of all. And then I just do a little sit-up.”

Do you do sports?

“I don’t do any sports,” says Heart. "I used to go surfing but I can’t do that anymore, right? I don’t do surfing any more, I just really, I just eat healthy and I work out every morning.”

Max Collins is still undecided whether to stay at home or go out of town with family and friends.

Max narrated, “I’m nagtatalo ako sa sarili ko. Kasi one side of me, gusto ko sa bahay lang kasama ang pamilya ko, pero lagi namin ginagawa ‘yon bawat Holy Week.


“And then another part was thinking na half of the week with family, half of the week maybe sa friends, my konting labas, beach or something.”

The undecided actress continued, “Uhm, pero siyempre, gusto ko i-prioritize kung ano ‘yong importante, siyempre Lent season, so of course God and Church.

“Pupuwede ko din naman gawin ‘yon sa beach, so iniisip ko kung dadalhin ko ba ‘yong pamilya ko sa beach… so medyo hindi pa ako sure.”

TV5 star Valeen Montenegro finds Holy Week a perfect holiday to go out of the country.

Valeen shares her excitement in going to the beach, “Baka mag-Bangkok or baka go home sa province namin. Dumaguete, Bais.


Actor JM de Guzman wants to get rid of the Manila heat and be somewhere cold with his family.

No certain plans yet but he said, “Plano pa lang po pero hindi pa sigurado, gusto kong pumunta sa malamig na lugar, kasama yung pamilya ko.

“Tagaytay or Baguio po sana.”

Zia shared that she and her mom Zsa Zsa Padilla, and sisters Nicole and Karylle usually go to the beach but she doesn’t forget to pray and reflect.

“Uhm, the Holy Week is usually spent with the girls of the family— my mom, my sister K [Karylle], and my sister Nicole,” says Zia.

She narrated, “We usually go to the beach, somewhere local lang so we can appreciate rin our own history.”

“Dahil Holy Week nga, it’s important that we’re somewhere we can pray, collect our thoughts and reflect on the year that passed,” the singer explains.


“Sir Luke” or Jerome Ponce in real life admits that it has been a busy 2012 for him because of his hit show Be Careful with my Heart so he is looking forward for the Holy Week to have some rest and vacation with friends or if possible with family.

Jerome said, “Plans ko po for Holy Week, enjoy life!

“To be specific be with friends and meet new friends.

“Family if ever pero kasi busy din po sila they do schooling.”

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 third placer Khalil Ramos is simply happy to spend more quality time with his family.

“With family, maybe go to the beach or somewhere that would be fun for me.

“Go outing that’s what everybody normally does.

“I don’t know pa our plans this year pero kahit ano namang plan namin, masaya ‘yon.

“Basta magkakasama kaming lahat, kumpleto kami.”

Newbie Liza Soberano was introduced to the public in her first debut film Must Be Love where she plays Daniel Padilla’s love interest.

The 15-year old actress says, “I’ll probably just go to church with my family, after nun eat out pero parang gusto rin po namin umuwi sa province [Asingan, Pangasinan] para mag-spend time with our relatives.

“We go to church every day pag may mass po, then we eat out, we spend a lot of time with the family.”
