Jillian Ward wants to be a doctor someday

GMA-7 child star Jillian Ward says that she was two-years old when she realized that she wanted to be a celebrity.

"Two-years old po ako nun, nagsasalamin ako at nag-a-acting-acting kasi gusto ko nang mag-artista.

“Napapanood ko kasi yung mga artista sa television at gustung-gusto ko po manood ng television noong bata pa po ako.

“Nakikita ko mga artista at ang gagaling nilang um-acting at gusto kong gumaya sa kanila," narrated Jillian to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) yesterday, June 6, at the 17th floor of GMA Network in Quezon City.

Jillian will be joined by Milkcah Nacion, Marc Justin Alvarez, and newbie actor Joshua Uy in GMA-7’s new kiddie show One Day Isang Araw, which will start airing on June 15.

During the presscon, Jillian also revealed one of her dream jobs: to be a doctor.

"Sana po maging doctor ako para yung mga tao na walang money, matulungan ko po sila," she candidly admitted.

When PEP asked about her dreams of becoming a doctor, the 8-year-old actress revealed: "Siguro mga five years old ako. Gusto ko rin po para makatulong sa mga bata, mga matatanda, sa mga babies para kahit wala silang pera, matulungan ko sila."

According to Jillian, she and her family have already moved to their three-bedroom house in Quezon City.

She is currently saving up for a resthouse in Pampanga or Tagaytay.



JOSHUA’S CRUSH ON JILLIAN. This project marks the first time that Joshua will be part of a TV show after appearing in 33 commercials.

Joshua expressed his admiration for his co-star Jillian and even said that he would court her when they grow up.

When asked about her reaction to Joshua’s revelation, Jillian said, "Wala naman po. Nakakatuwa po iyon. Ibig sabihin lang naman po ng crush na pag idolize yun at paghanga."

Joshua, who was seated with Jillian at the presidential table, exclaimed: "Deadma lang?!"

The group of reporters laughed out loud at his comment as Jillian told him: "Bata ka pa kasi."

The six-year-old Joshua retorted, "Bahala ka!"

Jillian added in a serious tone: "Hindi pa po namin muna dapat isipin yun."

In a separate interview with Joshua, he pointed out the reasons why he likes Jillian: "Maganda ’tsaka magaling umarte."
