Gretchen Barretto defends Randy Santiago; daughter Dominique lashes back at detractor

Gretchen Barretto on Randy Santiago: “How do you expect me to treat randy Santiago when I see him knowing that the family is being publicly shamed & lies are being thrown at them? I know the truth. I have been a victim of their very painful lies. Now tell me do they have sympathy for their victims? You expect me to respect when I was never given one. You know nothing about this. Don’t be fooled.”

At may caption itong: “With randy Santiago.”

Isang araw ang nakalipas, may nag-comment dito na may handle name na @arfheeb.

Sabi nito, “Now I can see how you value your family Ms. @gretchenbarretto sometimes there were families that is not applicable the saying ‘blood is thicker than water.’ No matter how pangit the ugali of your sister is you can still show naman the respect and sympathy. I just hope this will not happen to you soon. May God touches your heart. God bless u. I like u but sorry just my opinion.”

Comment naman ni @libralady923, “Pang-asar lang:-) hehe…I really like u ms.gretch & mr. randy. <3”

Sagot ni Gretchen, “@arfheeb do you expect me to make enemies out of all her enemies? Because if that is so, then I will not have a single friend, I won’t have photos to post on Instagram, I won’t have parties & won’t have a job. Life is too short to be anything but happy. (to love & be loved is essential.)”

Nilinaw naman niya kay @libralady923 na hindi ito pang-asar na larawan.

Aniya, “It is not [pang-asar] I call this respect given to those who fully deserve respect. I have known the Santiago family over 25 years. They are very decent & respectable.”

Pagsang-ayon naman ni @lynnsvb2012, “Correct ka dean miss Gretchen! And importante masaya ka.”

Pasasalamat ni Gretchen sa naturang komento, “@lynnsvb2012 Thank you. I just won’t live a lie. I will stand by the truth even if I have to risk everything I have.”

Pahabol naman ni Gretchen kay @arfheeb, “How do you expect me to treat randy Santiago when I see him knowing that the family is being publicly shamed & lies are being thrown at them? I know the truth. I have been a victim of their very painful lies. Now tell me do they have sympathy for their victims? You expect me to respect when I was never given one. You know nothing about this. Don’t be fooled.”

LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER.

Aniya, “@annelaspag I don’t usually reply to crude comments, but: Whether I get anything or nothing, when he passes, means nothing to me. My dad has given me all the love, memories, and opportunities in the world. And among all things, he’s also given me many life lessons – one simply being to have faith in God as well as in myself. I was able to study in one of the best schools in the Philippines and is about to pay for my education in London. From that, all I want to do is to be able to achieve as much as I can with the confidence that I’ve been given the education that many people are able to receive. Though materialistic things are needed for me to have the education that I’ve been given and will be given, money and education only goes so far.

“After that, positivity and your actions are what will give you success and happiness… Which is what both my parents have instilled in me from a young age. The love and the amount of memories he’s given from the moment I was born onwards, is enough for more than one lifetime.

“The lessons are a bonus. That’s more than enough, for me. God bless you and your family. I pray that you one day find that importance lies within things other than those that are tangible and realistic.”

Dito ay kaagad na nag-comment ang ina.

Ani Gretchen, “@dominiquecojuangco I love you my baby.”
