Sharon Cuneta thankful for Wilma Galvante’s entry to TV5: "Ngayon nararamdaman ko I’m part of TV5 family, I’m a Kapatid. I’m not just an employee."

"There’s a very big difference between being a plain paid employee and being treated like one, and being part of the station as an artist and residence. So, Ma’am Wilma understands that because she had run GMA-7 for a long, long time and a lot of that… the heart of that station we all know came from her. So, when she entered, parang lumiwanag ang araw. That’s how I feel," pahayag ni Sharon Cuneta tungkol sa pagpasok ni Ms. Wilma Galva

Kuwento nga ni Sharon, “When they showed me this… nandun sila e, siyempre si Ma’am Wilma [Galvante, TV5’s chief entertainment content officer].

"We were in the conference room with TV5 in Meralco, tapos they showed me… they presented to me The Mega And The Songwriter.

"So, I didn’t know what to expect, ang alam ko lang, ‘Okay kami ni Ogie.’

“When we started na, ipinakita yung parts ng Bituin Walang Ningning. Tapos kinakanta ko yung To Love Again sa GMA Supershow noong seventeen ako, ipinakita.

"Parang excited… siyempre nagse-senti ako kasi naalala ko, dahan-dahan. And then si Ogie, yung kanyang mga achievements, ipinakita din.

“It was so parang naano ako… nasa cloud nine, naiyak ako in the end.

"Tapos sabi nila, ‘Why are you crying?’ Sabi ko, ‘Are you kidding? Parang ang tagal ko nang hindi nakakaramdam ng ganitong respeto.’

"Kasi it’s been years since I did a musical. I had a musical since… my last, Sharon was a talk show mostly… last was 2003, mga ganyan, yun 2004.

"So, ganun na katagal and parang people tend to forget that I was a singer first and it remains to be my first love, my first ever.

"So, siyempre it holds a very special place in my heart and I think in the hearts of my followers.

“To be reminded lang of how far a little twelve-year-old girl had come, parang it’s such a… nakakataba ng puso. At saka ang ganda ng presentation.

"Parang feeling ko, for Ogie especially, I’m not joking when I say I think he’s really one of the new masters.

"Masters in the league of sina George Canseco, Willy Cruz, Ryan Cayabyab, and Rey Valera—siya yung pinakabago at siya lang.

"So, to give Ogie this kind of recognition and a show of this kind, kayang dalhin ni Ogie, kaya niyang dalhin yung show.

"So, I’m very honored to be working with someone with such great talent.”

Ito nga ang naging tugon ni Sharon nang usisain siya tungkol dito ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa Q&A sa presscon at grand launch ng "Weekend Do It Better shows" ng TV5 kahapon, Setyembre 8, sa Megatrade Conference Center sa SM Megamall.

Kabilang ang The Mega And The Songwriter sa ilulunsad na bagong weekend primetime lineup ng Kapatid network sa Setyembre 14 at 15.

OGIE ALCASID. Kahit na matagal na silang magkaibigan ni Ogie, in her thoughts, what’s more to discover kay Ogie?

“Nagdyu-joke-an nga kami, mga ‘O gusto kitang kuwentuhan.’ ‘O ano?’ ‘At saka na pag mas close na tayo pa!’” natatawang sabi ni Sharon.

“Kasi we became closer when he guested in my U.S. concert tour in 2005, doon kami nag-bond talaga nang sobra ni Ogie.

"He’s a very decent guy, trustworthy, and a good friend, he’s always been there for me.

“So, bukod doon, we all know that Ogie and I are funny.

"I mean, we were just born na palagay ko yung isa nakatawa na, ako yun, at yung isa magaling magpatawa. So, I’m looking forward to that.

"Parang may kanta, may katuwaan, may kasiyahan, kumpleto talaga.

"It’s to relax our televiewers on Sunday evening para they get great music from, you know, totally talented performers na guests namin plus Ogie’s songwriting talent, at yung buong history ko, catalogue ko, at mga bagong gusto kong ginagawa sa concert.

"They get all of that plus a lot of laughter, and yung ano lang laid-back ka lang because it’s a long work week ahead. That’s what we want to deliver.”

NEVER BEEN HAPPIER? Ilang press naman ang tila napaisip sa sinabi ni Sharon noong una dahil ang dating ay tila “she has never been this happier with her two years sa TV5.”

I’m sorry Ma’am I have to say… parang kulang ng heart.

"At saka kulang ng… wisdom ni Ma’am Wilma sa pag-iintindi sa aming mga artista.

"So, ngayon, nakakakuha kami ng… ako, I don’t know if I can speak for everyone here, pero ako in particular, parang ngayon nararamdaman ko I’m part of TV5 family, I’m a Kapatid. I’m not just an employee.

"There’s a very big difference between being a plain paid employee and being treated like one, and being part of the station as an artist and residence.

“So, Ma’am Wilma understands that because she had run GMA-7 for a long, long time and a lot of that… the heart of that station we all know came from her.

"So, when she entered, parang lumiwanag ang araw. That’s how I feel. Enough na daw, sabi ni Ma’am.

"I just want to clear up, I don’t make faces. You know me.”

"Yung una niyang show, yung kanyang Sharon Kapatid, hindi naman TV5 ang nag-produce nun, it’s line produced by Viva and also ng Mega Productions.

"So, dahil line production siya, natural lang na ang lagi niyang kasama din noong pinu-produce ang show ay yung team na yun.

“Hindi naman nakialam yung TV5 sa production nung programa kasi yun naman ang nasa contract.

"Pag pina-line produced mo, producer na iba yung hahawak.”

So, sa Viva ba nagkaproblema?

“Hindi, hindi ganun, e. I think it is more sa kulang sa communication.

"So, this time, when we introduce the new shows to her, na konsepto naman ng TV5, so sabi ko… ni-request ko rin sa Viva at saka kay Sharon, pabayaan mo na TV5 naman ang mag-produce para maramdaman mo rin kung paano ka aalagaan.”

Bago ito, ibinahagi rin ni Ms. Wilma sa presscon ang naging pag-uusap nila ni Sharon noon.

“Sabi nga ni Sharon, ‘Basta Ma’am Wilma you take care of me ha,’ noong nag-uusap kami.

"Sabi ko, ‘Yes, I will take care of you. But I want you to know, I’m strict.’ Dahil alam naman natin yun, di ba? Ako na yung pinakamataray dito.

“Pero sabi niya, ‘But Ma’am, I’m not hard to work with, ha,’ sabi ni Sharon yun, ha.

"‘Okay, let’s see.’ Pero hindi naman pala. Tama naman siya.”

Bukod sa The Mega And The Songwriter, ang isa pang show ni Sharon sa TV5 ay ang kauna-unahan niyang TV series, ang tawa-seryeng Madam Chairman, na nakatakdang umere sa Oktubre.
