Julia Barretto looks forward to the airing of her television show Mira Bella in the first quarter of 2014

Asked what the busy young actress wants for Christmas, Julia Barretto said, “Nothing more than a good vacation with my family, time with my family.”

Last March, the new roster of stars collectively called the Star Magic Circle 13 was introduced to the press. This batch includes names and faces associated with famous showbiz clans, among them the 16-year-old Julia Barretto.

In a short interview with Julia at the Kapamilya Salu-Salo last December 7 at the Villamor Airbase, Pasay City, the young actress exclaimed how exciting and blessed her 2013 had been.

“I think it was a very good year,” Julia recalled.

"Sa 2013 talaga nagsimula officially yung career ko."

Now, Julia is excited because, finally, after the long wait, her launching show Mira Bella will air in the first quarter of 2014.

“Sobrang excited na ako na ma-launch yung Mira Bella not just because it’s my launching project pero yung kuwento niya and yung mga kasama ko rin magagaling.

“So it is such an honor to be working with them," she gushed.

MIRA BELLA. Mira Bella is a fantaserye that will launch Julia’s first starring role in a TV series.

She will be joined by Enrique Gil and Sam Concepcion in this TV project.

Julia recalled how she felt during her first taping day.

She said, “First taping day? Hay naku! The first thing that I felt when I woke up was... I was so nervous.

“Tapos excited all at the same time.

“Well, I don’t know. I still remember kasi the feeling.

“Kasi sa set they don’t make me feel so pressured.”

But the actress admitted, “Siyempre I am so pressured pero they made me feel na it’s okay to make mistakes, it’s your launching project, you really get nervous.”

Julia said she was touched that her co-actors and director made an effort to make her feel comfortable.

“The director, the cast, sila mama Pokwang, si Tatay Sweet ko… wala, no pressure!" she blurted out.

Julia also mentioned that 2013 brought some pain, along with the good. She was referring to the rift in her family involving her aunts Claudine and Gretchen.

The young actress said she has chosen to stay positive about things and keep her hopes up for a reconciliation in the future.

“Wala, it really happens.

“I think that it’s normal naman sa industriya pero sana ma-overcome din naman.

“And I am really happy that I didn’t allow it to affect me or my career.

“Wala, there are so many good things ahead,” she said.

It was truly a busy year for Julia.

Asked what she wants for Christmas, the actress said, “Nothing more than a good vacation with my family, time with my family.”
