Paul Soriano optimistic about Transit’s chance at the Oscars: "Konti na lang, so hope for the best."

Sabi niya, "You know, a win for Transit is a win for the Philippines. So, we’re hoping for the best."

Saad niya, “Based on unofficial… na parang survey, they put Transit on number 22 na ‘ata or we’re on Top 22.

"That’s very good, out of 70 films, you know.

"We have to get to the Top 5 though—that’s the goal.

“Konti na lang, so hope for the best.”

Sabi ni Paul tungkol dito, “We’re very excited.

"We have three major screenings on [December] 12, 13, and 14.

"I talked to Dean Devlin just the other day. He said that a lot of key judges of the foreign film language [category] will be attending.

“So, that’s great news!

"And you know, as a producer, we can only do our best to screen the film to the judges, but it’s only up to them to vote in January.

"You know, a win for Transit is a win for the Philippines.

"So, we’re hoping for the best.”

Saad niya, “It helps.

"That’s why when Dean Devlin got onboard, instantly, we have access to his contacts.

“When Dean put his name on a project, people tend to watch it and or become curious.

"So, yeah, to make it abroad, a foreign distributor is very important.”

“Yes, I’m very positive. Transit has a very good shot.

"With Dean Devlin helping out, I think we really have a good shot.”

Pero kung sakaling mabigo, sabi ni Paul: “I tell you... the next ten years, we will have a nomination because Philippine cinema is just on the rise, you know.

"Not just Transit, but there’s so many other great films this year.”

HAPPY FOR TONI.

“Toni and John Lloyd, ‘no? Of course, I am looking forward to that.

"I think Toni is always at her best when it comes to comedy.

"And with John Lloyd, I was a big fan of Amnesia Girl [2010], so I think this sitcom will be right up their alley.”

Tugon niya, “Yeah, yeah, I think so.

"Well, it’s good for her… we’re also maturing in terms of our jobs a a director and as an actress.

"So, it’s good to get mature roles, and to challenge—which is good.”
