Martin Nievera on rape charges facing Vhong Navarro: "I hope that whatever truth that comes out is legit and not scripted.”

Martin Nievera says it must have been hard for Vhong Navarro’s It’s Showtime co-hosts to focus on their work.

“All of us in showbiz, that’s the one thing we hate the most. That one cliché—the show must go on. Kahit nabugbog ang kaibigan ko, kung may show ka, people are depending on you, the show must go on. You have to cry later, you have to smile later, you have to think later."

"It’s sad.”

Sabi ni Martin ukol dito, “’Cause he was trying so hard to be funny.

"You can say words that you were saying earlier. Pero after a while, ang sakit, e."

"It must have been so hard for them.”

Sabi ni Martin tungkol dito, “All of us in showbiz, that’s the one thing we hate the most.

"That one cliché—the show must go on.

“Kahit nabugbog ang kaibigan ko, kung may show ka, people are depending on you, the show must go on.

“You have to cry later, you have to smile later, you have to think later.

“For those two or three hours, it’s about you [the audience], not about me [the artist].”

“I know it’s hard to laugh right now.

"But I think, one day he’ll laugh again.

"I think yun ang driving force niya.

"I mean, way, way down the road.

“Vhong will never laugh at this.

"This is not a funny joke.

"No matter what the truth later says, it’s not funny.

“But being a funny guy, I think he’ll be able to.

"He still has a career.

"Everybody loves him in the industry.

“So, I just hope that whatever truth that comes out is legit and is not scripted,” saad ni Martin.
