Showbiz industry leaders condemn mauling incident of Vhong Navarro

Binatikos ng industry leaders sa Philippine showbiz ang nangyaring pambubugbog sa actor at TV host na si Vhong Navarro. Hinikayat ng iba’t ibang organisasyong ito ang mga ahensiya ng gobyerno na kumilos upang matuldukan na ang karahasan sa bansa.


Mariing kinondena ng mga namumuno sa industriya ng lokal na aliwan ang nangyaring pambubugbog sa actor-TV host na si Vhong Navarro.

Ito ang laman ng sulat na pirmado ng lahat ng mga organisasyon sa showbiz.

Tinuligsa nila ang hindi raw makataong ginawa sa It’s Showtime host ng grupo nina Cedric Lee at Deniece Cornejo.

Ayon sa kampo nina Cedric at Deniece, tinangka diumanong gahasain ni Vhong si Deniece.

Nangyari ang insidente noong Miyerkules, January 22, 2014, sa Forbeswood Heights Condominium, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Ngunit mariing itinanggi ni Vhong ang paratang sa kanya ng grupo nina Cedric at Deniece.

“NO ONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO INFLICT TORTURE ON ANYONE…” Ayon sa mga haligi ng industriya, suportado nila ang hakbang ni Vhong na makamtan ang hustisya sa kanyang sinapit sa mga kamay ng diumano’y nanggulpi sa kanya.

Hinikayat din nila ang mga namumuno ng mga ahensiya ng gobyerno na kumilos upang mabigyan ng tuldok ang mga karahasan at upang matigil na ang hindi makataong gawain.

Narito ang kabuuan ng sulat:

“On January 24, 2014 the entire Philippine entertainment industry was shocked to learn of the horrible incident involving TV host-actor Vhong Navarro.

“No one has any right to inflict torture on anyone regardless of his economic or social standing in society. Let the law prevail, let the court decide.

“In view of this, the undersigned leaders and officers representing the various sectors of the Philippine entertainment industry, unilaterally regret and denounce the brutal attack against our colleague, Mr. Navarro.

“We likewise express full support in his plea for justice.

“We fervently urge the concerned government agen­cies to put an end to the thriving culture of violence and impunity and diminishing sense of humanity in our country.”
