Aiza Seguerra and partner Liza Diño considering in vitro fertilization

Sabi niya, “There are citizens who are in same-sex relationships and that should be addressed because we, as much as straight people, have the right to marry.”

Pagdating sa pagkuha ng donor para sa sperm ng lalaki, sinabi ni Aiza: “Pinag-uusapan namin if we’d rather know or not know [the identity of the donor].”

IVF OR ADOPTION?

“Pero surrogacy, so siya [Liza], she will carry,” sabi ni Aiza.

Sagot ni Aiza, “Well, we’ll try muna IVF.

“I think it’s gonna come way after the wedding.

"Kasi more than anything, it’s building a family. It’s bringing in another person in our life.

"And we wanna be prepared for that, and the process for us to make it safe.”

Sabi pa ni Liza, “Mga talks in passing.”

Sabi ng dating beauty queen, “She’s very happy, she has her fears, we’re very open with her when it comes to the situation.

“We all know naman hindi naman ito something which is very conventional for a kid.

“It’s not easy to take, but she’s very understanding.”

Dagdag naman ni Aiza, “We make it a point to really sit down and discuss everything and be truthful to her.

“Kung ano ang pinagdadaanan, kasi we want to know… especially we live in a world ngayon na alam natin napakaraming taong very judgmental and basically, we’re trying to protect her.”

WEDDING THIS YEAR.

“Hopefully, this year na,” sabi ni Aiza.

Sagot niya, “It’s sad. I feel sad about it kasi lagi nilang sinasabi, church, Bible…

"But we forget that there should be separation between Church and State.

“Kumbaga, we have to acknowledge, yes, there are citizens who are in same-sex relationships and that should be addressed because we, as much as straight people, have the right to marry.

“I think, kami rin, we have the right to love the person we love and have a right na ma-enjoy din yung mga rights na ine-enjoy ng heterosexual [relationships].”

MESSAGE FOR EACH OTHER.

Sabi ni Aiza, “I am so happy finally it’s happening.

“Nakakatuwa lang because she really walked with me in everything—my fears, my insecurities, all the bad things, as well as the good things.

“She embraced me completely and I’m just happy that we’re getting stronger every day.”

Tugon naman ni Liza, “I know that I’m exactly where I wanna be and I’m in the exact place, I’m in the right place, in His perfect time.

“I’m so happy that it’s you.

“Marami tayong pagdadaanan. This is just the beginning.

“We’re gonna go through a lot more things together—the highs and the lows that couple and people in a relationship go through.

“But knowing that it’s with you I’m gonna share it with and it’s you I’m gonna go through with, I know that wala tayong pagsubok na hindi natin malalampasan.

"And I can’t wait to start forever.”
