Governor ER Ejercito on vote-buying allegation of publicist Jobert Sucaldito against PMPC: "I do not have anything to do with the controversy."

Ang iba pang mga nominado bilang Movie Actor of the Year ay sina Joel Torre at Piolo Pascual ng On The Job, Robin Padilla ng 10,000 Hours, Dingdong Dantes ng Dance of The Steel Bars, at Jake Macapagal ng Metro Manila.

GOVERNOR EJERCITO’S REACTION.

“Being the former president of the Actors Guild of the Philippines, it is my commitment to the Filipino movie industry and also to my godfather Fernando Poe, Jr. to film one quality movie a year—it is my promise to give jobs/employment to displaced Filipino film actors, artists and creative & technical people in the industry.

“Me and my team feel greatly honored that our three films: Manila Kingpin, El Presidente, and Boy Golden were all consistently graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

“For me, being nominated is enough and winning the award is a bonus. I won 4 best actor awards as Asiong Salonga from FAMAS, Luna, Star & Gawad Pasado and I won 3 best actor awards as Emilio Aguinaldo from FAMAS, Luna & Star.

Kingpin won a total of 42 awards while El Presidente won a total of 44 awards.

“I create epic period movies that are influential and worth it - deserving of any nominations & awards.

“I do not have anything to do with the controversy but I admire Kuya Jobert Sucaldito’s good intention of exposing the crooked ways in the industry that need to be corrected.”
