Regine Velasquez speaks up against bashers; compares them to bats

Regine Velasquez-Alcasid on speaking up against bashers: "It’s hard not to say anything if somebody said something bad about your son or your family, it’s very hard. Parang lahat talaga ng pagpipigil... it’s hard, e."

Sabi niya, “As far as my career is concerned, siguro naman puwede na akong mag-slow down ng konti bilang buong buhay ko namang ginawa to.

“Parang it’s time naman to be just a normal person although I’m still working.”

Paliwanag ng Sarap Diva host, “’Pag nagpapatol ako, ibig sabihin, marami akong time magbasa.

"Nakakaasar kasi minsan, e," pag-amin niya.

“I really try my very best not to answer back.

“Like I said, when you’re not doing anything, ‘Patulan ko kaya?’

“Once, somebody said na… parang may nag-comment sa Instagram ko na, ’How come when people bash these artists, parang kahit ano, you’re allowed to say.

“’But when we say something, once the artists would say something about the bashers, parang it’s such a big deal.’”

“Parang, it’s not allowed?

“Parang, ’Bakit nga kami, ’pag kami yung magko-comment bawal.

“Parang it’s not fair.”

HUSBAND’S ADVICE.

“My husband used to tell me na, ‘You know, you just pray for these people. They probably are going through something that’s why, you know, they’re like that.’

"Okay, I do that, but sometimes, you know, you’re human."

Paliwanag niya, “It’s hard not to say anything if somebody said something bad about your son or your family, it’s very hard.

“Parang lahat talaga ng pagpipigil... it’s hard, e.

“Kasi parang, ‘What do you know about me that I don’t know? Kilala ba kita personally? Are you my stalker?’

“’Di ba, parang for them to say those things, what right have you?

“Pero after, mare-realize mo, I guess, we are in this day and age where everybody has an opinion about everything and about everybody.

“And there’s a whole new group of people and that’s what probably they do all day—look for somebody to bash—and you can’t help it, right?”

BACK IN THE DAY.

“At least, yung mga reporters, you know that that’s their job.

“And when you see them, ‘O, ano na naman yung isinulat mo? Tampalin kita diyan, e!’

“Yung ganun, ’tapos magtatawanan lang kami. Wala na yun, tapos na.

“Ito, you don’t even know, ’di ba?

“’Tapos explain mo sarili mo, and then the reporter would usually say, ‘A, okay, sorry ‘te.’

“Actually, mas nakakatakot sila kasi theye’re faceless, e.

“And actually, that’s why they’re malakas ang loob, kasi nga theye’re faceless, they’re nameless.

“Para silang mga paniki, nakaganun lang sila.”

Ayon pa Kapuso star, “So, it’s really better to not make them patol, but once in a while.

“You’re human, like meron ka na bang nakitang wala talagang pumatol at all?

Dagdag pa niya, “Like I said, this is the world now and, as personalities, you choose the battles na lang.

“It’s not that you can’t naman, e, of course you can.

“Puwede mo naman ipagtanggol yung sarili mo.

“Especially kung feeling mo, you have the right to.

"Life mo ’yan, e, so go ahead.

“Ako, sa akin, okay lang, ’di ba? Kung kailangan mo talaga, ’di ba?

“Pero pipiliin mo lang, huwag lahat.

“Pero ganun talaga being in this business, talagang you’re an open book.

"And everybody, whoever who, like, have the time to read it, of course they would criticize.”
