LJ Reyes says she is not privy to the lovelife of her ex-boyfriend Paulo Avelino.
In a previous interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), she admitted that she has no problems with KC Concepcion who is linked to Paulo Avelino, the father of LJ’s son Ethan Akio.
LJ echoed this sentiment during an interview held earlier today, September 18, for the press conference for the indie films Homeless and Bigkis.
The Kapuso actress is the lead actress in the advocacy film Bigkis, which is produced by BG Productions International.
LJ says about Paulo and KC, "Hindi ko naman tinatanong kung ano talaga sila.
"As I said, civil pa lang ang relationship namin [ni Paulo], hindi pa friends talaga. So, hindi ko pa maitanong."
What if her son Aki asks her about the relationship of KC with his dad.
"’Ask Daddy. Kasi I don’t know, Anak, you ask Daddy!’" LJ quickly answered with a laugh.
"Basta ang usapan namin, kapag nagtanong ang bata ay basta maayos lang ang explanation mo."
LJ, who was in a relationship with Paulo for four years, says she has nothing against KC.
"Siyempre KC Concepcion naman po ’yon, isang matalinong babae at karespe-respeto po talaga.
"Mahilig din po siya sa bata, ang alam ko."
Does Aki understand the situation now between LJ and Paulo?
LJ says, "Alam naman po niya na may daddy’s house and mommy’s house.
"Actually [ang tawag niya], Aki’s house raw."
How did she explain their situation to their son?
"Noon pa lang, noong naghiwalay kami, talagang in-explain ko na agad, ’Daddy’s not going to live here anymore. He’s going to have his own house.’
"Kasi, for me, ang approach mo naman dapat sa bata, dapat very honest ka parati as much as possible.
"Ayokong magtago sa kanya."
How did LJ feel when Paulo became more vocal when it came to talking about Aki?
"Ang tao kasi, ’pag free ka, mas wala kang restraints, mas hindi ka nagho-hold back, mas magaan ang bagay-bagay.
"Mas okay po yun."
LJ hopes she can be friends again with Paulo Avelino for the sake of their four-year-old son.
"Very civil lang po kami. I wish someday we will be good friends para it’s gonna be easier for us to raise our child together," says the Kapuso actress.
