Aga Muhlach says politics not for him; prepares for upcoming movie in 2015

Aga Muhlach has given up on politics, but is now preparing for a movie in 2015. “Next year! I’m like, trying to lose 40 pounds, 40 pounds to go," he says.

Saad ng aktor, “It’s nice that you know, hanggang ngayon tuluy-tuloy pa rin ang ‘MaAGA ang Pasko’ years.

“Sabi ko nga, like what I mentioned a while ago, government is all about politics.

“And sometimes, when you’re reminded of this project ‘MaAGA ang Pasko,’ it breaks that thing, e.

“The cycle of all negative things. So, it becomes positive again.

“’Pag Pasko, para bang let’s just move on with our lives, ‘di ba?

“So ‘ayun lang, masayang-masaya ako na when I was invited again for this year’s ‘MaAGA ang Pasko,’ parang you’re also reminded na, ‘Oo nga ano, magpa-Pasko na!’

“Parang it’s just our right to celebrate, to celebrate love.”

NO TO POLITICS. “No more, no more,” ito naman ang nasabi ni Aga nang tanungin kung may balak pa siyang tumakbo muli sa 2016 elections.

Dagdag pa niya, “I can say that with a… parang I tried it and I was able to touch base with talagang mahihirap na tao. But then, it didn’t work, so no more.

“Parang it’s not for me.”

I think it will be better for the whole CamSur, and also for the fourth district.

“Kasi parang there’s this really… parang hindi na… iba, e.

“Mahirap ipaliwanag. Basta I think it’s just right, what I did was right lang.

“Parang we talked about it—me, my wife, and my kids na parang politics is not for us.”

Aniya pa, “I will still help though, I mean I will still help.

“I will continue doing movies, and continue to share my blessings, but not through politics.”

40 POUNDS TO GO.

Bahagi ng aktor, “Next year! I’m like, trying to lose 40 pounds, 40 pounds to go.”

Nang tanungin kung nais niya bang makatambal muli ang The Voice of the Philippines coach na si Lea Salonga, sagot ng aktor, “Well, I’m hoping, I’m really hoping to work with her again for the third time.

“I would really love to work with her again and we just have to make it right.

“I’ve said this again and again, and sabi ko nga we’ll only do a movie if the script is really nice, maganda istorya, nababagay sa ngayon, and if we both look good.

“We talked about it so… not ‘look good,’ I mean look fit at least, ano.

“I mean we owe it to our fans to look our best.

“So right now, I’m on a break. So next year I’ll see you guys.

Paliwanag ni Aga, “We [family] talked about it also and sabi ko this is the first time in 30 years that I really, parang, nagpahinga ako.

“So actually, ngayon nga lang naninibago ako to…

“I’ll be back next year—January, February.”

“I mean, I started with ABS-CBN and I’ve never had any bad blood with them.

“So I just need to lose weight, that’s the deal.

ANDRES AND ATASHA.

Paliwanag ni Aga, “It’s always like that naman, e. Parang people say let them finish their studies first.

“But of course, yun ang prayoridad nila, ano? Of course they will have to finish their studies.

“Now, after that, they decide.

“I mean there’s nothing wrong with the movie industry if they really wanna join.

“And if they’re serious, then why not?

“But if it’s just for fun or for the pay, then I will also suggest na parang ‘wag na nilang gawin.

“Kasi it’s not naman the itsura. Pumasok sila dahil sa itsura nila?

“Parang, if my kids have talent, then why not?”

Kuwento ni Aga, “We don’t really talk about it in the house.

“Parang work stops in the car when I come home.

“There’s no… we don’t talk about work, my trabaho, my industry but they know.

“Parang it’s become normal for them because both their parents come from the industry and even them, they have their share of commercials, too, their endorsements.

“So they know how it is, what it’s like, and it’s normal not to talk about it.

“It’s no big deal…”
