America’s Next Top Model winner Sophie Sumner invites Emma Watson to visit the Philippines

Sophie Sumner, Britain’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 finalist and America’s Next Top Model Cycle 18 winner relates that she talked to close friend Emma Watson (right) about how beautiful the Philippines is.

“Push mo ‘yan. Masarap. Guton [gutom]. Busog. Maganda. Guwapo.

I have a Tagalog teacher.

“The Philippines has been so kind to me, I think it would only be fair to kind of learn the language if I’m here a lot, why not?

“I’m trying.”

“Sinigang, Bicol express, adobo, and halo-halo,” sagot ni Sophie.

BFF EMMA WATSON.

"She doesn’t know much about it or anything…" sabi niya patungkol sa Pilipinas.

“I think if she can find time, then she’ll definitely come up to visit, for sure.

“I was just saying how beautiful and how friendly [the Filipinos are]. I know she’ll love it.”

“I said I’ve been travelling, wishing you’d seen about the show.

"And I Skyped from here and everything, and I was like, ‘We have to get out there. It’s super relaxing, the people are really kind and you’ll love the food and the beaches are like none other. They really are beautiful.’”

Sagot ni Sophie, “We went to school together, [back] from about 12 [years old].”

“I would say it’s beautiful, magical, happy little space that has yet to be uncovered.”

“I will try,” nakangiti niyang sagot.

DISCOVERING THE PHILIPPINES. Kung walang kaalam-alam si Sophie tungkol sa Pilipinas dati, nadiskubre niya raw ito sa pamamagitan ng Fil It Up.

“I didn’t know anything about it. I really, really know nothing at all.

"We didn’t really learn it in school.

“The only thing I knew was doing Bench Universe and just working with good people, really.

“The travel show just introduced me to this whole new world, which I keep coming back to.

“I came here, it just kind of opened my eyes and there’s just endless places I never realized.

“You can be in the mountains in Baguio where it’s cold, and they serve everything here.

“Everyone is so welcoming and it’s really interesting.

“Everywhere we travel to, I got to immerse myself in local fashion.”

Sabi pa ni Sophie tungkol sa kanilang travel show, “Fun thing about the show, before I did it, I watched so many travel shows to see what’s out there.

"And what I love about this, it’s funny, it’s silly, it’s serious.

“You know, like in life, you have those little moments?

"This show is like a collection of all those special moments rolled into one; stuff you can’t recreate.”
