Susan Roces was overjoyed upon hearing the news that her daughter Senator Grace Poe is officially qualified to run for president in the much-anticipated May 9 elections.

In an interview with Mario Dumaual of TV Patrol, Susan maintained that the Supreme Court’s decision, allowing Senator Poe to join the presidential race, is a victory for all foundlings in the country.

As it was, Senator Poe had been vocal in saying that she got “railroaded” when the Commission on Elections (Comelec) en banc decided to cancel her certificate of candidacy (COC), few days before Christmas Day.

Susan, for her part, was actually grateful that her daughter was given a chance to fight against her detractors in the legal arena.

The veteran actress also spoke about persistent rumors that Senator Poe is the biological love child of the late President Ferdinand Marcos and Rosemarie Sonora.

Rosemarie is Susan's younger sister.

“Si Grace ay supposed to be ipinanganak September, ikinasal ako December.

“Tapos ikinasal ako, kukunin ko pa? Sobra naman yun.”

Nevertheless, Susan is still hoping that Senator Poe would eventually find her biological parents.
