“And in the name of the kindest people on [earth], I would accept his apologies even if he remains within his twisted recollections. It's his loss, not ours.
“Our conversation as a people cannot be ambushed by the behaviour of one man no matter how celebrated and no matter how atrocious,” dagdag pa ng gobernador.
Narito ang kabuuang Facebook post ni Gov. Salceda.
“Its the season of Lent—the season of unconditional forgiveness. And Albayanos are possibly the kindest people there is on earth. And in the name of the kindest people on earn [sic], I would accept his apologies even if he remains within his twisted recollections. Its his loss, not ours.
“Our conversation as a people can not be ambushed by the behaviour of one man no matter how celebrated and no matter how atrocious.
“Its time to move on.
"If we are truly the land of constant kindness, then it must be natural for us to forgive without conditions and to expect nothing in return for forgetting.
"In so doing, we gain the ascendancy in the seat of judgment.
"We also create emotional space freed up of bad vibrations to make new commitments. We have demonstrated our social cohesion and employed so much energy in defense of the honour of our homeland. 3 days are enough and we gain so much more by laser-beaming such social cohesion and focusing on our positives in the pursuit of shared prosperity.
“In our collective calculation, in the current trajectory of events, while we are sure of winning, we may actually end up losing more in terms of missed opportunities in other aspects of life.
“Lets use our flexed muscles for better things—like nation building, like loving your neighbour.
“Move on tayo, Linggo, hindi ma-traffic ang EDSA. Warm Albay, Warm People.”
