Gretchen Barretto on turning 45: “I continue to pray for the people who have hurt me even as I continue to feel & acknowledge the pain.”

At the strike of 12 midnight that marks her 45th birthday, Gretchen Barretto posted a message on Instagram that speaks about her thoughts on her life, the struggles that she has gone through, the people that continue to hurt her, and her intention to live a Christian life.

“At age 45, I can say that I have gone through so much, a lifetime for anyone.

“So many nasty things have been said to my face by strangers, by alleged friends & even by loved ones.

"“Life on earth is definitely far from perfect."

“But Thank God I have established my relationship with Him.

“This has taught me to stay in the moment, to Bask in it & to be grateful for everything I have.

"I will trust God & embrace what is yet to come & what May Never Be. Molding my life into being more Christian like is a lifelong & difficult process."

“I wish & pray that I will be brave enough to let go of past hurts.

“In the meantime, I continue to pray for the people who have hurt me even as I continue to feel & acknowledge the pain.

“At this point in my life, I have chosen to surround myself only with people who are sincere & respectful of other people's rights & feelings, people who love others for what they are & not for what one can get from the others.

“And I likewise choose to be like these people, sincere & respectful & truly loving , as sincerity & truth are values I cherish , I Remain sincere & Truthful to myself & to my public , I choose to say No when enough is enough , when sincerity & honesty are absent #greta turns45”
