Sabi pa ni Jasmine, “We’re in different paths, si Ate, super mainstream.
“She’s more commercial than I am, or what people see me to be.
“I try to do the arts, submerge in all the different types of crafts that are available to me.
“Like, I’m trying the theater for the first time.
“And it’s interesting when we’re together, there’s always something new, a new story to tell her.
“And although we don’t live together, there’s always communication between us.
“And… masaya. Yun na!” ulit ni Jasmine.
Nakapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Jasmine sa press conference para sa stage play na No Filter: Let’s Talk About Me, na ginanap noong Martes, June 23, sa Piazza Privato ng Privato Hotel, sa Pasig City.
DISCUSSIONS.
“Kunwari, she doesn’t agree na I do the play... kunwari lang, ha!
“Sasabihin ko, ‘Ate, it’s a good venue for me to mold my craft and get to know the entertainment world better.’
“I’ll tell her, 'Ate, I understand right now, I may not have any project. And if I wait around too long for that, how else do I see that I’m worth an indie project?'
“So, there’s always that explaining, same way with her to me, na bakit ganyan ko aatakihin ang problema ko, e, gusto ko ganito?
“She’ll just tell me the pros and cons, and then she’ll let me decide.
“Open communication talaga.”
Pahayag ni Jasmine, “Actually, no, na-realize lang namin na it works better for me to be in that world.
“Although we are also trying to learn how I can be part of the mainstream industry.
“Although I’m part of TV5 and we’re doing a variety show [Happy Truck Ng Bayan], which is a mainstream show.
“Kasi, there is no such struggle, e, it’s there... people see naman na kaya, e.”
PERSONAL LIFE. Si Anne ay 30 years old na, and still not married.
Saad ni Jasmine, “No, I guess she is not in a rush because we both know that in God’s perfect time, it will happen.
“Hindi naman sa I’m trying to cover it up with religion.
“But, you know, our faith will always be our top priority when it comes to how we handle things.
“And she’s not frustrated, hindi siya yung napag-iiwanan.
“People always say, ‘Oh, I’m just focusing on my career right now or in my education,' blah blah blah.
“And in just a few months, biglang may lovelife na.
“So, I’m not saying I’m putting it aside… there are just so many things going on.
“And I think I would really put myself up to an emotional breakdown if I even try…”
“Huwag na natin yun pag-usapan, it will open more intrigues,” nangiting pag-iwas ni Jasmine.
