Michael de Mesa on working with son Geoff Eigenmann's ex-GF Carla Abellana: “Trabaho is trabaho... yung personal stuff nila is between them.”

Is Michael de Mesa willing to work with Carla Abellana, his son Geoff Eigenmann's ex-girlfriend? He says, “Trabaho is trabaho, we’ll see, we’ll cross the bridge when we get there... yung personal stuff nila is between them.”

“Geoff is single... very, very passionate now about his jiujitsu.

“He just got promoted to blue belt.

"And he’s very, very passionate about that, sila ni Timmy," sabi ni Michael.

Paglilinaw ni Michael, “No, no, I don’t hate Carla… whatever happened between the two of them was between the two of them.”

“Trabaho is trabaho... we’ll see, we’ll cross the bridge when we get there.

“Work is work, yung personal stuff nila is between them.”

KUDOS TO KEN.

Saad ng beteranong aktor, “I’m quite impressed, kasi for a newcomer like Ken, it’s easy to fall into that trap of playing a gay character na maging caricature.

What I see is a girl!

“And for a newcomer who doesn’t really have that much acting experience, I’m impressed, I was impressed.

“So, I think that boy will go a long way kasi he’s open, e.

“I mean, I take my hat off to actors who do these kinds of roles, they’re very open and they’re very secure about themselves.

Sagot niya, “Hindi naman, kasi every role, even though the character is gay, I always treat it as something new.

“Iba-ibang levels naman 'yan, e, like this one in particular, it’s medyo new for me.

“Yung pagka-gay ko dito is different in the sense na, deep inside, my dream is also to become like Destiny Rose.

“I couldn’t do that because of my position in society and all that.

“So, when I met Joey [karakter ni Ken bago naging Destiny Rose], nakita ko yung sarili ko sa kanya.

“That’s why all out yung ibinigay kong support ko sa kanya.

“Ako yung naging adviser niya, ako yung parang the father he never had.

"Ako naman, yung tingin ko sa kanya is like the daughter I never had.

“Kumbaga, longing for family also.”

Sabi niya, “To be honest, yung aking exclusive contract with GMA had expired after Once Upon A Kiss.

“That was my last soap sa exclusive contract, and then now, I really didn’t expect GMA would offer Destiny Rose to me.

“But I’m really happy that they did, and I’m really happy that I’m still with GMA.
