Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo have officially registered as voters, barely two weeks before the target deadline set by Commission on Elections (Comelec).
The Kapamilya teen love team is excited to exercise their right to suffrage as they filed their application for voters registration in Quezon City yesterday, October 20.
Daniel, for his part, said that he’s still “researching” on his preferred presidential bet for the highly-anticipated 2016 elections.
“Hindi pa naman huli ang lahat para makahanap tayo ng magaling na presidente na talagang babaguhin ang Pilipinas.
“Sa akin naman lahat iyan magsisimula kung hindi corrupt ang binoto mo.
“Kapag hindi corrupt, sunud-sunod na 'yan,” said the 20-year-old actor in an ABS-CBN News Online report today, October 21.
Kathryn, on the other hand, said that her ideal leader is someone who will prioritize the needs of the Filipino youth.
The 19-year-old actress explained, “Siguro dahil nire-represent ko rin yung mga kabataan, we want someone na bibigyan ng chance and papahalagahan yung mga kabataan, someone na maipaglalaban ang mga Pilipino, and someone na gusto talaga yung trabaho.
“Dapat dedicated and not just for any reason. Dapat gusto talaga mag-serve for the country.”
DEADLINE OF VOTERS REGISTRATION. The deadline for voters registration is on October 31.
According to Comelec’s official website, satellite registration has been scheduled for different barangays and selected malls.
For registered voters, you may also check your registration and biometrics status via Comelec’s online precinct finder.
Biometrics information refers to a voter’s electronic thumb mark with matching digital photo via Comelec’s Voter Registration Machine.
In lieu of the #NoBioNoBoto campaign, voters without biometrics data are given until October 31 to comply with this requirement.
