Edu Manzano does not require son Luis to campaign for him

Senatorial candidate Edu Manzano on his 'Family First' advocacy: "Hangga’t maaari, there are solutions na aming inisip na puwede sana kung kami, e, pakikinggan. The very structure of our country is actually the family. Kung ‘yan, e, mawala, what’s the point of ruling if you cannot even take care of the moral fiber of our existence?"

Saad ng TV host-actor, “Luis has already started [helping me].

I think that’s very unfair.

“Kung gusto niya na mag-volunteer, thank you very much, but there should be no parental pressure on their children."

Patuloy ni Edu, “Kung yung kandidato, wala nang ibang mai-offer kundi ang kanilang magaganda at matatalino na anak, then, you know, he probably has no right to run.

“Kaya ako, lagi kong sinasabi, that in my case, everywhere, sinasabi ko sa aking audience, ‘Tanungin niyo ako ng mga tanong. Ask me questions.

“’Don’t just vote because I am the father of Luis Manzano, Addie, and Enzo Manzano, or I’m Edu Manzano, but ask the questions.’

FAMILY FIRST.

“Sabi ko, 'Ang ibig bang sabihin, ang single mother is not a family?

“Family doesn’t have to be tatlo, kahit dalawang tao, puwedeng maging pamilya.

“Ako, I’m just gifted with wonderful children, so I’m very concerned about their future.

“And then another two hours, kung suwerte ka, para bumalik uli sa bahay.

“Four hours na nade-deprive ang family mo of your company."

Dagdag ni Edu, “Hangga’t maaari, there are solutions na aming inisip na puwede sana kung kami, e, pakikinggan.

“The very structure of our country is actually the family.

“Kung ‘yan, e, mawala, what’s the point of ruling if you cannot even take care of the moral fiber of our existence?

“Ask the question ‘Why, bakit ‘yon ang naisip mo?’

“Sorry to say, but these days, there’s a lot of children being born out of wedlock.

“It would be the height of injustice to deprive them of being part of a family.”
