Andrea del Rosario reacts to Alma Moreno's interview with Karen Davila: "She was not prepared..."

I'm a sexy star, I'm this, I'm that... But then again, I just had to prove myself."

Aniya, “At that time, I was tempted to defend her as a co-artist, like myself, di ba?

“But when I saw it, siyempre, medyo ang…  it came to me that she was not prepared.

“And I was just sad because I’m sure she will have a lot of wonderful plans for our country.

“But at that particular moment, parang for me, she should have gone there prepared.

“It’s just sad… parang, it’s self-explanatory, that she was not prepared.

“Unfortunately, medyo it was a big, big show.

"How do you defend that? It was there and it was taped.”

Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Andrea sa presscon ng Anak OFW Film Festival sa Amici Restaurant, sa SM Megamall, nitong Huwebes, December 10.

Kasama si Andrea sa pelikulang Si Tita Ang Nanay Ko with Gelli de Belen and Nicole Dulalia, sa direksiyon ni Jenny Pearl Ninalga.

IN THE RUNNING.

“I was invited last election pa by my running mate… she used to be the vice mayor running now as a mayor.

“So she invited me way, way back,” paliwanag niya.

“With what happened to my daughter and all, parang it went towards that direction na rin… my daughter is a survivor.”

naka-recover.

“Pero when they invited me, I wanted to.

"But because of her medical condition, I prioritized her muna.

“So it spiralled towards that direction, and kumbaga, I prepared for it.

"I finished my master’s degree [in Entrepreneurship] sa Ateneo.

“That’s why medyo nag-lay low rin ako sa pag-aartista; gusto ko na rin namang may gawin for my town.”

“I’ve been doing a lot of medical missions, parang giving back because of what happened.

“So, parang ayun na, kumbaga it led towards that direction na rin.”

CHALLENGES.

Saad niya, “I totally understand but we also have to look at the… yung mga gumagawa rin ng maayos.

“There’s Lucy Torres, there’s this and that.

“But what is highlighted always in the media is the negative side, kasi iyon ang bumebenta.

“But I totally understand people because, siyempre, they give their trust to those people and pumapalpak—understandable.

“I myself, the reason why I somehow stopped na rin [sa showbiz], I wanted to show my kababayans that I’m serious about it.

“That I am gonna build my competency as, hopefully, a public servant to them.

“Mahirap linisin yung stigma na artista ka lang, that is also why I studied because I have so many challenges against me right now.

“I’m a sexy star, I’m this, I’m that, ang dami.

"Naiintindihan ko sila so I had to clean up.

“Ang dami, there’s my personal story and all, maraming challenges.

"But then again, I just have to prove myself.”
