Diego Loyzaga mourns the death of his granddad, basketball legend Caloy Loyzaga

Diego Loyzaga on his dad Cesar Montano: "We see each other regularly, kaka-record lang namin ng kanta na magkasama kami. We still have basketball together, we still go to mass together. We are still father and son, you can't break that, family is family. "

Saad niya, “I’m wearing my grandfather right now, he’s always with me.”

Sabi niya, “It was a hard time na nawala ako sa Pangako

“I mean, nakakalungkot dahil hindi ko na nakikita yung mga taong nakakasama ko for the past eight or six months.

“Apart from that, nalungkot din ako dahil a legend in our family, ang nagbuhat ng Loyzaga family, ang nag-establish ng Loyzaga family…my hero, my grandfather, passed away.

“So it’s been..yeah, difficult, if it’s one way to describe it.

“It’s one weird, twisted emotional journey these past months.”

Ani Diego, “My mom grabe ang segue niya, she’ll be in Australia, babalik siya dito to see me, family.

“Namatay ang tatay niya, ang lolo ko, my mom has a very hard time, the whole family has a hard time.

“It is difficult, I’m just hoping for the best and spend more time with her.

“When she’s here, she’s always at work,  I am at work.

“And we’re trying to make the most of it. We have dinner, that’s pretty much of it.

“So we’re hoping for a better year na mas may oras for the family."

HAPPY FOR MOM.

“I’m happy and proud of my mom,  I’m hoping and praying na tuluy-tuloy ang projects ni Mama.

“Kita ninyo naman napakagaling ni Mama, napakahusay niya, and she deserves to be happy in what she’s doing.

“So I’m just hoping and praying that the best will come to her more than me, actually, at the moment.

“Because mom is at the age...I’m still young, I can still screw up and fix myself in the future.

“I’m 20, if showbiz does not work out for me, I can study, that’s what I meant by screw up.

“Mom, her decision has to be solid.

“Mom is busy with work, she has a lot of things that she’s handling in the house.

“So I’m just hoping for the best right now.”

DAD CESAR.

"No matter what happens, he’s still my father.

“We see each other regularly, kaka-record lang namin ng kanta na magkasama kami.

“We still have basketball together, we still go to mass together.

“We are still father and son, you can’t break that, family is family.

“It doesn’t matter what situation is going on between your family.

“Broken family man o hindi,  he’s still my father."

BROTHERLY.

"Those are still my sisters, and we still love each other.

“Gano'n po talaga ka-simple yun, it’s just understanding and respect."

Dugtong ni Diego, “Hindi lang po 'yan one time,  I plan on seeing my sisters a lot more often now.

“Honestly, I miss them so much, I wanted Tita Shine and also my mom, kaso my mom was in the taping and Tita Shine is visiting her mother, busy po silang pareho.

“And I really do miss my sisters, they live really far, far away.

“I really don’t get to see them anymore.”
