Madonna 'chills' with orphans at Bahay Tuluyan

Madonna spent an hour dancing and playing with the orphans at Bahay Tuluyan Foundation, Inc. in Malate, Manila.


International pop superstar Madonna finally updated her social media account a day after arriving in the Philippines.

On Tuesday afternoon, February 23, the seven-time Grammy winner spent time with the orphans at Bahay Tuluyan Foundation, Inc. in Malate, Manila.

Madonna posted a photo of her with  some of the kids on Instagram.

Her full caption reads: "Chillin with my Homies at the Bahay Tuluyan Foundation. Inc. giving shelter to Orphans street children trafficking/abuse victims in Manilla? ??#rebelheartour"

According to a report by Ces Dimalanta for The Manila Bulletin, the "Like A Virgin" singer and her entourage paid a "low-key" visit at the orphanage around 3:30 P.M.

Madonna then spent an hour dancing and playing with the kids.

The report further noted that Madonna, who has always been known as an ardent supporter of anti-child abuse advocacy , will not be adopting a child from Bahay Tuluyan.

The Queen of Pop even admitted in an interview with Harper's Bazaar November 2013 issue that she was raped at the age of 19, shortly after her arrival in New York City.

Madonna will stage a two-day concert, Rebel Heart, at SM Mall of Asia Arena on February 24 and 25.

The 57-year-old pop diva arrived in the Philippines last Monday, February 22; she was with adopted kids Chifundo Mercy James and David Banda.
