Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli were among the showbiz personalities who came at director Wenn Deramas’s wake at Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City last night, March 1.
Although they arrived in two separate vehicles at around 10 P.M., the couple was later seen cozily seated in one table together with some friends.
Sarah's parents, Delfin and Divine Geronimo, were not in sight.
In the meantime, it was quite obvious that Matteo, 25, and Sarah, 27, have become more open about their relationship.
They were seen holding hands while walking from the standby area to the carpark.
The two briefly gestured to each other before they went to their respective vehicles at around 11 P.M.
But before they left, Sarah and Matteo accommodated a quick interview with four reporters including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
WITNESS TO SARAH'S FIRST REAL HEARTBREAK. When asked to describe her fondest memory of Direk Wenn, Sarah couldn’t help but smile as she recalled how the director witnessed her go through her first real heartbreak.
She related, “Isa ho siya sa mga director na nakakaintindi po sa akin bilang baguhan na artista at bilang dalaga na may mga pinagdadaanan sa buhay nung kami ay nagkatrabaho.
“So, lagi ho siyang nakaalalay at very supportive.
“At siyempre, laging nandudun yung sense of humor niya.”
Sarah worked with Direk Wenn in the 2010 film Hating-Kapatid, which also topbilled Judy Ann Santos.
DIREK WENN NOW AN "ANGEL." Matteo, for his part, said that he was shocked upon hearing the news about Direk Wenn’s passing last Monday morning.
The actor-triathlete said, “Siyempre nagulat po tayo.
“Lahat po mami-miss ko sa kanya.
“Mabuting tao si Direk, yun ang masasabi ko.”
Matteo and Direk Wenn worked together in the teleserye Galema (2013) and the movie Moron 5.2 (2014).
He added, “We’ll just pray for him.
“We have an angel up there watching over us.”
