Ariel Rivera approves of Rodrigo Duterte's fight against corruption and drugs. "Ang root of our problem in the Philippines is corruption, kasama rin yung drugs. Kung yun ang tina-target niya, good for him."

Saad ni Ariel, “I've always said from the very beginning, one of our biggest problems in the Philippines is corruption.

“Ang root of our problem in the Philippines is corruption, kasama rin yung drugs.

“Kung yun ang tina-target niya, good for him.

“I understand his [President Duterte] point, I also understand yung mga ginagawa niyang mali.

“He gets my approval, but like I said, when I watch him on TV, nagsasalita, I cringe!

“Tama naman silang lahat, he should be more dignified.

“I like [it] that he's like that, but he has to understand, he represents the Philippines, e.

“But right now, he's representing the whole Philippines, may effect yun sa ating lahat, not like sa Davao.”

Ayon kay Ariel, “Everybody should express their opinion.

“I'm totally for whatever Agot said. I agree with her, I do.

“Pero we have our opinion, we should be able to express our opinion.

“We are a democratic country.”
