Maxine Medina on competing in Miss Universe 2016: "To my family and friends, especially my supporters, thank you for your support. I know that you have been there throughout my journey. All that I ask from you is prayers. Thank you so much."

Pahayag ng 26-year-old beauty queen, “I’m very happy that it will be held here in the Philippines.

“I’m just enjoying every moment that I am here right now competing for the Philippines.

“When I was crowned Miss Universe Philippines, I never expected it to happen. It happened so fast.

“After the pageant, I called my mentors in Binibining Pilipinas.

“I said, ‘Please help me do this’ because, you know, everyone is expecting a back-to-back [win].”

“Dealing with this, I just want to take one step at a time and learn everything about pageants, because this is my first time.

“I have to learn from zero knowledge.

“Miss Universe has different way of questioning the candidates.

“So I have to learn more about current events, not only for the country but for the whole world.”

LIFE-CHANGING.

Saad ni Maxine, “A normal day for me is wearing rubber shoes with pants and shirt.

“I like roaming around with my family.

“I like to watch movies with my sister and go around with my niece…that’s my simple life.”

“I was modelling for eight years. I went into modelling in order to support myself and pay my tuition fees,” sabi niya.

“Like my mother, my aunt has been telling me to be humble and to be the best version of myself.

“To enjoy every moment and the chance of learning every day.”

“To my family and friends, especially my supporters, thank you for your support.

“I know that you have been there throughout my journey.

“All that I ask from you is prayers. Thank you so much.”
