Pahayag ni Liza tungkol dito, “Napag-usapan naman namin ‘yan sa executive committee, it was brought up, that she’s going to be one of the MMFF advocates.
“So ako, bakit hindi? We welcome change, inclusivity is the key.
“If she wants to support MMFF, and she’s there para tulungan kami to spread the word, she believes in the goal, in the direction of the MMFF right now, why not?
“There are so many advocates right now who are really pushing for this new direction so we welcome all the support that they can give.”
Sa tingin ba niya ay nakakatulong si Mocha sa MMFF?
Tugon ni Liza, “Like I said, right now, this is an experimental stage for MMFF.
“The films that we have as entries are totally different take from what we used to have before.
“The strategies na ginagawa namin are very unorthodox, so I believe na when they decided to bring Mocha as one of our advocates, there is a good reason for that.
“And I believe in the integrity of the Execom.
“So, whatever our opinions are on Mocha’s involvement, I support, I really support the decision of the Execom.”
Dagdag niya, “And I hope that because of her support, marami pang lumabas na mga advocates na tutulong sa MMFF, to spread the word, to promote MMFF, and to really encourage the audience to watch because that’s the only way that this will succeed.
“Because kung walang audience na manonood, then… let’s face it, at the end of the day, the exhibitors and the theater owners are as much part of these as the producers.
“So, they can also have that call to continue with the direction or not.”
