Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach took to Twitter to appeal to fellow Pinoys to refrain from spreading negative feedback about the current crop of Miss Universe candidates.
With only three weeks left before the coronation night, some fans tend to go overboard with their comments on social media with regard to their respective pageant bets.
Wag po sana tayong mambash ng mga candidates dahil magrereflect po yan sa impression nila satin. Lahat po tayo representative ng Pilipinas ????— Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (@PiaWurtzbach) January 7, 2017
In her Facebook live video yesterday, January 7, Pia said that she's confident that Miss Universe-Philippines 2016 Maxene Medina will make the country proud in the upcoming pageant.
She said, "I think she’ll do very well at Miss Universe. She has always been a strong contender.
"I cant wait to see her performance for the final night.
"And she has the whole country backing her up, so she should be fine."
PLANS AFTER HER MISS U REIGN. Meanwhile, Pia admitted that she felt “emo” knowing that she will soon be leaving her New York apartment, which has been her official residence as Miss Universe titlist for a year now.
“I’m gonna miss the apartment.
"You know what? It’s so silly… I took photos inside my room last night because I realized I don’t have photos in my room.
“I only had photos in the living room or the receiving area by the door.”
Asked about her plans after her Miss Universe reign, Pia revealed that she will be going back to New York to honor her remaining “contracts and commitments.”
“I’m very lucky that I still have a lot of work lined up after Miss Universe.
“In fact my February [schedule] is booked, the whole month.
“The work continues on.”
