John Lloyd Cruz put a stop to persistent speculations that he and ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban have secretly gotten back together.
The 33-year-old actor said, however, that Angelica remains a very good friend.
As John Lloyd put it, “We’re good friends. Pero hindi po kami.
“Wala po kaming relasyon. But we are very good friends.”
The two were spotted dining at a restaurant in Makati last October 2016.
This was followed by a confirmation from Angelica that she and John Lloyd have decided to become friends.
The 30-year-old actress was noncommittal though when asked about the possibility of reconciling with John Lloyd.

But at the third anniversary presscon of the ABS-CBN sitcom Home Sweetie Home last night, January 31, John Lloyd firmly put a stop to the buzz about a secret reconciliation with Angelica.
He said, “Sige po i-push pa natin ‘yan. Wala nga po talaga.”
ON FINDING THE ONE. Despite his single status, John Lloyd admitted that he hopes to have his own family soon.
“Siyempre, sana, dahil hindi na rin tayo bumabata.
“Siyempre, kumbaga, linggu-linggo, on a regular basis, napagmamasdan mo ang buhay ng kagaya ng isang Toni Gonzaga.
"Napakaimposible na hindi ka mapaisip at hindi ka mainggit paminsan-minsan."
As for meeting the right girl for him, John Lloyd says that this is something that comes at a perfect time.
Citing a personal conversation with Home Sweetie Home co-star Toni Gonzaga, John Lloyd elaborated, “I think isang beses na medyo talagang hindi ko na-contain at nasabi ko na, ‘Alam mo, naiinggit talaga ako. Sana makahanap na rin ako.’
“Sabi niya, ‘Huwag kang maghanap. Darating ‘yan nang kusa.’”
