Winwyn Marquez clarified that she and boyfriend Mark Herras are not yet engaged.

The Kapuso couple made it to the headlines last February when the actor posted a kissing photo of them on Instagram.

Mark used a ring and a heart emoji on the caption, which triggered speculations that he already proposed to Winwyn.

But the Kapuso actress-dancer was quick to correct this and even blamed her boyfriend for the misunderstanding.

She said, “Assuming kasi ng mga tao.

"Eto naman kasing si Mark, kasi wala na daw siyang maisip. Kasi gusto nga raw niya akong pakasalan someday.

"But it doesn’t mean we were engaged."

Although Winwyn admitted that she and Mark have talked about engagement and marriage, they are in no rush to settle down.

They have been together for a year.

The daughter of Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez explained, “We’re not engaged, pero we talk about it.

"Kasi siyempre, when you’re in a relationship, hindi mo naman iisipin na short time, di ba?

“If you are in a relationship, iisipin mo siya na yung last.

“He’s 30 and I’m turning 26 next year, so I think we’re in the right age to talk about it.” (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to Winwyn at the press conference of GMA Netwok's upcoming primetime series, Mulawin vs Ravena, Monday night, May 15.

PLUS POINT. Do they also talk about marriage?

“Yeah, of course! I think wala naman masamang pag-usapan,” answered Winwyn.

“Siguro kung 16 ka, 15 ka, siguro yon medyo weird.”

The actress continued that it’s a plus point for her if a guy is open about wedding plans.

“I think I like talking to a man, when I’m in a relationship with a man, and he talks about that.

“It gives a sign that he’s serious and he has plans with you.

“Kesa naman sabihin niya na, ‘Hindi, mag-bar na lang tayo. Inuman tayo diyan sa club!’

"For me, it’s better that way.

“Wala naman dapat katakutan, it’s just planning.

"It's better you have security about that part of your relationship."

However, Winwyn pointed out that she is not yet ready to get engaged.

“Huwag naman sana anytime soon. Alam naman niya na siguro in two years.

“Gusto ko pa gawin lahat ng gusto kong gawin.

"Pero sabi ko naman sa kanya, before 30.

"Siguro after two years, kasi I wanna have a baby also.”

In Mulawin vs Ravena, Winwyn portrays Ribay, a Ravena.

This primetime series, which will premiere on May 22, also stars, Dennis Trillo, Heart Evangelista, Regine Velasquez, Carla Abellana, Lovi Poe, Derrick Monasterio, Bea Binene, Kiko Estrada, Bianca Umali, and Miguel Tanfelix.
