Megastar Sharon Cuneta dispelled claims that she has a rift with fellow The Voice Teens coaches Sarah Geronimo and Lea Salonga.
Through her recent Facebook posts on Tuesday afternoon, August 8, Sharon clarified that she is on good terms with Lea.
She said, “Last na po ito para tapos na: Hindi ako yung sinasabi ni Lea. Sorry pero we are in touch, di kami masisira! End of issue.”
Sharon did not specify what the Broadway Diva said that might have pertained to her.
But checking Lea’s Twitter account, the Broadway actress had a post last July 30 where she wrote about the difference between real humility and false modesty.
There is a big difference between real humility and false modesty. It takes just a little discernment to figure out which is which.— Lea Salonga (@MsLeaSalonga) July 31, 2017
A netizen (@ZAQUITOS) questioned the timing of Lea’s tweet, which coincided with the grand finals of The Voice Teens.
The netizen asked Lea for her reason behind the said tweet.
The Miss Saigon star clarified that it had nothing to do with the grand finals of The Voice Teens.
She also explained that it was a just realization from a previous conversation with a friend.
The netizen then speculated that Lea's tweet might have something to do with the issue between Sharon and Sarah that ensued on July 30.
It started when some of Sarah’s supporters claimed that the Megastar allegedly snubbed Jona Soquite from Team Sarah after she was proclaimed the grand winner of the competition.
Sarah's supporters claimed that Sharon intentionally did not approach and congratulate Jona and Sarah after the announcement.
To put this issue to rest, Sharon’s second post this Tuesday stated that she just received a text message from the Popstar Princess.
Sharon thanked Sarah and explained that all is well between them amidst the persistent claims that she snubbed her.
Part of Sharon's message to Sarah read, “Thanks so much bebegurl. Basta tayo alam natin ang totoo. The end na talaga ng issue na ito. Di talaga tayo pinababayaan ni God. Mahal kita.”
This weekend, Sharon already addressed this issue through a long narrative she posted on her Facebook account.
In the post, the Megastar explained that she wasn’t able to congratulate Sarah and Jona that night on the stage because she did not have the chance.
