Addressing her critic on Twitter, Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia shows proof that her leave of absence at Sherlock Jr. presscon is valid: "Eto po ah. Sorry po, wala po ako sa presscon dahil naka confine ako."

Gabbi Garcia, 19, was insulted when a netizen criticized her for being a no-show at the presscon of Sherlock Jr. last Monday, January 22.

Sherlock Jr. is GMA-7’s newest primetime series topbilled by Ruru Madrid and Gabbi.

Quashing wrong speculations about her absence, Gabbi revealed that she got confined at the hospital that same day.

To prove that her leave of absence is valid, the Kapuso young actress also posted a photo of her getting dextrose for an illness that she did not mention.

Replying to her critic, Gabbi wrote:

The netizen in question has put her Twitter on private setting and her tweet against Gabbi can no longer be viewed at press time.

While Gabbi didn’t exactly say why she got hospitalized, at least one of her fans posted on Twitter more photos of the actress from the hospital.

Another fan also tweeted that Gabbi's handler reportedly released a statement saying that the actress got diagnosed with "severe kidney infection."

But after two days in the hospital, Gabby happily announced that she has recovered from her illness and is ready to get back to work tomorrow.

At the presscon last Monday night, Ruru himself explained that Gabbi is sick and cannot make it to the event.

In a brief statement, Ruru said she got admitted to the hospital but that he's confident that she will get well soon.
