American actor Lee O'Brian and ABS-CBN comedienne Pokwang experience cultural differences but have discovered a common ground to make their relationship work.

Saad niya, “Yeah, I think I’m up to it.

"She’s actually the older lady, so I hope she’s up to it too.

“So, in fairness, she’s one heck of a woman.

“She’s a strong woman, so it’s a good question, it’s a fair question if I’m up to it.

“I hope I am. We’ll see.”

“Looks like I’m staying a while.

"I’ve got a direct blood connection here now, my beautiful daughter, and things are going really well with Miss Pokwang.

"So the near future is definitely here, so you can’t get rid of me yet," pabirong paliwanag ng American actor sa press conference ng Ang Babaeng Allergic sa WiFi, official entry sa Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018.

“The difference is, well, I think the two cultures are definitely different, especially in maybe the ways we handle affection and romance, and, like, relationships.

“I’ve been learning about ‘tampo’ and I’ve been learning about 'gigil,' and I’ve been learning all this things Americans sometimes do good in different situations.

“So it’s all been a learning experience.”

Gayunpaman, nagkakasundo naman daw sila ni Pokwang.

“We did come from two completely different cultural backgrounds and now, currently, I think we are finding a nice middle ground.

"And, luckily, she knew a little bit of American culture before I came because I was, in fairness, not totally schooled on Filipino culture.

"So it’s been a crash course for me, good experience for her."

Pag-amin din ni Lee, "There are few [misunderstandings]. Nothing too big."
