International pop superstar Ariana Grande has finally broken her silence a week after the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller made headlines.
Mac Miller, 26, was found dead at his home in Los Angeles, California on Friday, September 7, after an apparent drug overdose.
Ariana shared an emotional tribute to her late ex-boyfriend on Instagram Saturday, September 15.
The 25-year-old "God Is A Woman" singer uploaded a candid video of Mac Miller while they were having dinner together.
In the caption, Ariana called Mac Miller her "dearest friend" having "the the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved."
Ariana's message for Mac Miller reads: "i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest."

Ariana and Mac Miller's romantic relationship started from friendship.
The two artists collaborated on two singles: "Baby It's Cold Outside" in 2012 and "The Way" in 2013.
In August 2016, Ariana and Mac Miller finally debuted their romance at the MTV VMA Awards.
However, the "Dangerous Woman" performer announced her split with the rapper through an Instagram post last May.
Around the same time, she was spotted hanging out with Pete Davidson several times. A month later, news broke out that the couple are engaged.
