"Maybe if I had a show earlier, then I’d probably wouldn’t have been ready.
“So it was nice that they were doing it slowly for me.
"I was never nainip because they were always giving me work, hindi lang ako naging part ng regular show ever since I transferred."
Tugon niya, “I’m starting from scratch again since moving to GMA.
"I’m pretty happy with the things are going now. I feel like the show is really opening, getting me out of my shell.
“That’s all I asked for naman—to be continuously working and to be learning.”
FORMER KAPAMILYA ASPIRING STAR
Sagot ng aktres, “In the beginning kasi, I wasn’t really looking to sign with any network.”
“When I was younger, I was also launched in Star Magic. I was Batch 15.
"I was the same batch as Bela Padilla, Jessy Mendiola, Martin del Rosario...
"I kinda know what it is there [in ABS-CBN]."
“I wasn’t allowed by my mom.
“I was going through the workshops and everything without letting my mom know what it really was.
“She thought I was doing acting workshops.
“Parang she didn’t know that I signed the contract and all of that.
“She wanted me to finish school, I was really young pa, e.
"She wasn’t keen on me entering showbiz. So I had to stop and continue school.
“But, yeah, I kind of knew, like, how the environment was there.”
“When I went to GMA, I had a feeling… I just had a meeting with Miss Lilybeth [Rasonable, senior vice president for Entertainment), and I had a feeling I think this is where I should be. Just a feeling lang...
“And then I told my manager, ‘I think this is where I want to be.’
“Eventually, I got signed with GMA.”

NOT THE FIRST CHOICE
“Of course not. It’s a privilege, it doesn’t take away anything from it.
"I am luckier because it was not supposed to be mine," nakangiting sabi ng aktres.
Kasama ni Sophie sa Pamilya Roces sina Carla Abellana, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Gabbi Garcia, Rocco Nacino, Manolo Pedrosa, at marami pang iba.
