Nagpakita ng pagsuporta sa bagong hirang na Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray ang mahigpit nitong nakatunggali na si Tamaryn Green ng South Africa.
Si Tamaryn ang hinirang na First Runner-up sa 67th Miss Universe na ginanap sa IMPACT Arena, Bangkok, Thailand, ngayong Lunes, December 17.
Sa panayam ng ABS-CBN News sa South African beauty queen, sinabi niyang lahat ng kandidata ay hangad na maiuwi ang korona, pero nasa Diyos pa rin daw ang huling desisyon.
Saad niya, “And you know that you gave it your all.
"You tried your best, you worked hard.
"Whatever it may be, it’s God’s plan, it’s what’s going to happen.”
Masaya rin daw siya para sa 24-year-old Pinay beauty queen, na naiuwi ang ika-apat na korona ng Pilipinas sa Miss Universe.
Sabi ni Tamaryn, “I’m so happy for Cat. She’s lovely.
"She’s amazing. She wanted it just as bad as all of us wanted it.
"But in the end, you know, I did my country proud.
"I did my best. I had so much fun.”
Samantala, nagpaabot naman ng kanyang congratulatory message si Miss Venezuela Sthefany Gutierrez, na itinanghal na Second Runner-up.
Sabi niya sa kanyang post sa Instagram, “Congratulations Cat @catriona_gray and all the Filipinos.
“Thank you Thailand, for all your support and receptivity, @missuniverse has been the best experience of my life.”
