Protesters brave rains to oppose ex-President Ferdinand Marcos's burial at Libingan ng mga Bayani

Hundreds of protesters braved the rains during the four-hour Citizen's Assembly held at the Luneta Park's Lapu-Lapu Shrine this Sunday, August 14.

Director Joel Lamangan, who was one of the key speakers, vividly described the rallyists' opposition to the burial of the late dictator and former President Ferdinand Marcos at Libingan ng Mga Bayani.

Lamangan said, "Sabi ni Ka Amado V. Hernandez, kung wala nang maglalamay sa gabi ng pagbabangon, lumuha ka nang lumuha, ang laya mo'y nakaburol.

"Ngunit ngayon, patunay na ang laya ay hindi nakaburol dahil narito tayo ngayon at lumalaban pa!

"Upang labanan ang diktador na pinakawalanghiyang diktador sa balat ng lupa!"
