The camp of Song Hye Kyo denied pregnancy rumors following the announcement of her wedding to Song Joong Ki on October 31, 2017.
The actress' agency, United Artists Agency said, "This rumor is completely groundless."
Meanwhile, the two Korean superstars posted statements on their respective fan cafes to talk about their upcoming wedding.
In his statement, the 31-year-old Song Joong Ki recalled how he was able to develop a friendship with Song Hye Kyo while doing the Korean drama series Descendants of the Sun, that eventually led to a romantic relationship.
He said, "I recently had the honor of participating in a production that could let me shine.
"It was such an amazing experience to me because I received so much undeserved love.
"During that time, I made a precious friend who eventually became my lover."
He then revealed that they decided to spend their lives together "in the beginning of 2017."
Song Joong Ki continued, "In order to begin a new life where we can get through difficult times together, Song Hye Kyo and I have decided to get married on the last day of October."
The actor also asked for understanding on why they had to keep their relationship a secret.
“I think a lot of my loving fans would’ve been taken aback by the sudden news.
"I wanted to tell everyone earlier, but I had to be cautious because it was a decision that involved two people and their respective families.
"I also didn’t want to cause any trouble to the people involved in my upcoming film.
"I hope you will understand."
Song Joong Ki is one of the stars of the upcoming epic film The Battleship Island.
He added, “I promise to live my life as a great actor and a reliable head of my family.
"I hope you will continue to support our relationship. Thank you."
SONG HYE KYO'S STATEMENT. Song Hye Kyo, 35, also asked for her fans' understanding.
She said, “I think many of you would’ve been surprised by the sudden news.
"It may appear as if I lacked consideration for my fans, but I hope you will understand [my intentions]."
The actress then related how her friendship with Song Joong Ki developed into a relationship.
“At first, Joong Ki was a colleague who clicked well with me.
"As we worked on a production together, we discovered that we had similar values and we could really talk about anything.
"Because he was a good friend and colleague, we continued to keep in touch even after the [drama] ended.
“Over time, the faith and trust that Joong Ki had shown me helped me imagine a future with him.
"I was thankful that he had such genuine feelings for me, and I was also able to confirm my own feelings for him."
Song Hye Kyo continued, “I wanted to relay the engagement news to my fans first, but I had to be careful because it wasn’t only my decision.
"I feel nervous announcing the news all of a sudden, but I trust that my fans will support me. Please continue to love me like you have until now.
"I want to thank my fans for waiting and believing in me.
“The two of us will live happily. Please give us your blessings! Thank you.”
A-LIST ACTORS. Before co-starring in the hit 2016 Korean drama series Descendants of the Sun, Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki established themselves as two of South Korea's most popular Hallyu stars by starring in numerous significant projects.
Song Hye Kyo started her showbiz career in 1996, but it was in 2000 where she rose to fame while appearing in the KBS drama Autumn In My Heart, opposite Song Seung Heon and Woo Bin.
After this, she starred in the top-rating drama series All In, opposite Lee Byung Hun, and Full House, opposite Rain.

She made her film debut in 2005 via the rom-com My Girl and I.

But his breakout role came in 2010 when he played one of the leads in the historical drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal.
This was followed by major acting projects, in both film and television: Penny Pinchers (2010), Deep Rooted Tree (2011), The Innocent Man (2012), and A Werewolf Boy (2012).
When his military enlistment ended in May 2015, he returned to work by accepting the male lead in the KBS drama Descendants of the Sun, opposite Song Hye Kyo.
Their drama series aired in 2016, and both Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo received the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the KBS Drama Awards on the same year.
