The Korean entertainment scene is still in shock after news of Jonghyun's death came out Monday, December 18.
The 27-year-old SHINee member reportedly died in an apparent suicide through carbon monoxide poisoning in his rented studio apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.
SM Entertainment, the label company where Jonghyun was under contract, confirmed the sad news in an official statement.
ALEXANDER LEE & U-KISS. My Korean Jagiya star and former U-KISS member Alexander Lee is among the K-Pop celebrities who are mourning the untimely death of Jonghyun.
Xander and Jonghyun promoted around the same time when the former was still a member of U-KISS.
Xander wrote on Twitter, "My heart is so heavy.. I personally don’t know him but being the same 2008’s, my heart is truly broken.. I remember him as a talented guy who was strong n aggressive on TV shows... the main voice of Shinee.. I don’t understand... May God bless his family n fans with peace.. #RIP"

TAO & LUHAN. Former EXO members and Jonghyun's former labelmates Tao and Luhan also could not believe it.
Tao tweeted, "I can't believe it... The first time I went to Korea, the weather was very cold then.
"The first time I went to a broadcast station, I heard the song 'Hot Times' for the first time.
"It left such a beautiful memory. Because of that stage, that song, I wanted to so quickly go onto the stage myself and wanted to start practicing.
"Thank you for being my strength. Hyung, you were the first sunbaenim I've met in Korea.
"Right now my feelings are just... impossible to describe."

Former After School leader Park Ji-young, popularly known as Kahi, uploaded her message of sympathy in an Instagram post.
She wrote, "Sigh…..I received the news late….as a colleague…I just pray that he rests in peace……………..my heart is heavy."
